Dining before HHN, need advice!

We are going to HHN October 2nd with Fast Passes. We are also Annual pass holders so we are allowed in starting at 6 or 6:30pm. We are curious about our dining options. Our favorite restaurant is Finnegan's. If we head to Finnegan's around 4:45-5pm would this be allowed? We are not stay and scream ticket holders, can we eat in the park before HHN starts?

Here's how it works.

Stay & Scream is NOT A TICKET. You are an AP holder, and you have HHN tickets. That is all you need to utilize Stay & Scream. Get into the park by 4:30-4:45 (remember, it closes at 5 on HHN nights) and then head directly to Finnegan's. You'll be able to eat there. Eventually, you will have to show your HHN tickets to be scanned. When ready, you'll be allowed out to explore some of the houses that open between 5:45-6. Or you can wander over towards the Kidzone houses and wait for them to open up.

Wow you jus blew my mind lol! I didn't realize I could utilize S&S! So do you suggest we utilize S&S even though we have express passes?

YES!! With S&S you can hit a few houses with little to no wait, then later when the lines get long you can use your express. Thusly, you'll be able to hit most of the houses multiple times!

Here's what I do every night:

I get to the Studios around 4pm and head straight to Louie's for dinner. Then I go to Starbucks and get a Grande Mocha Frappuccino and hang out until 5pm when I then head to the holding area. The restaurants will close 30 minutes prior to park closing execpt Finnegan's and I don't want to take the time to eat during HHN.

I get the Frequent Fear pass with Express and I always do S & S so I'm not waiting in the huge line out front. You should too. It's just easier and you can do several houses with no wait.

What if you are staying onsite and have tix to the park for the day plus HHN tix? Can you just stay in the park or do you have to leave and come back? I'm taking it by the posts if we can do the former that would be our best bet as opposed to going back to our hotel and returning later.

Yes.. If you are in the park and have a ticket for HHN you can definitely stay in the park. Just head toward the Holding area where the Blues Bros. show is performed. That is the Stay & Scream area.

Awesome, thanks! Two of us are staying for HHN, two of us are not, so I think we'll have dinner onsite before park close then split up. So good to know!

That's the prefect plan! All four eat together in the park before closing (5pm). Afterwards, the two without HHN tickets leave the park, while the two with HHN tickets remain in the park and go to the Stay and Scream holding area.

Note: Your room keys will NOT work as Express for HHN. Just a heads-up.
