Lockers, Too Many Lockers! A few tips

Last week I started to forget what locker I was in as I kept riding and re-riding attractions at IOA and US. I actually had to get help from the locker guardians to get into the lockers, once because the computer wouldn't recognize my fingerprint and once because I forgot the number. I also had problems with the touch screens. I was later told by one of the locker guards that using my finger nail worked better than the pad of my finger in touching the buttons. I also determined that if I took a picture of the computer screen that showed what locker I was supposed to utilize, if I forgot the number, I could just look at my picture and remember which locker I used. Turned out to be a lot less stressful.

I find that the easiest to is to stop the hassle before it even becomes one- don't bring a bag! :) Seeing entire families hauling massive backpacks baffles me. What on Earth are they bringing with them- camping supplies?! I bring my TM ID and my debit card in a pocket, and that's it. I bring my phone rarely, usually only if I'm by myself :thumbsup2

My best locker tip is to realize there are multiple banks of lockers, each with their own access kiosk. Often times the locker lines are only to get to the first one or two in view. If you're perceptive (or simply experienced) it is often not necessary to wait in that first, long line.

There's no need to remember your locker number, just remember what station you went to. There's a forget locker number button and all you have to do is place your fingerprint and it'll tell you your locker number.

That didn't work for me last year.. i forgot the locker number and the scanner wasn't recognizing my fingerprint either!!
The locker guardian helped me out for about 20 minutes, opening rows and rows of lockers until I finally found my bag... Of course I had to show my I.D. that was in the bag so I could claim it.

Cheers!

I rarely use the lockers (love cargo shorts) but sometimes have to. It's usually to store a butterbeer mug or a purchase I couldn't resist. Those things almost always give me fits when it comes to opening them. As soon as a helpful teen walks up, it always recognizes my fingerprint and opens like a charm. Don't ask my why.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but can you leave stuff in the lockers near each ride, or is there a central bank of lockers for all day use? I'll be buying a bunch of stuff for my niece at WWoHP, and I don't really want to drag it around until I leave. Thanks!

there are lockers in the front of the park you can use all day long.
and, they are larger than the ones by the rides.

or, if you are a day visitor, you can have your purchases sent up front, and they will be held for you until you leave. this service is free.

but, you can't use this service if there is only an hour left until the park closes.

I agree the lockers are terrible. It wouldn't recocgnize my finger either. No body told me about that button that's great info to have for our next trip.

I love that locker system, gives me a free safe place to store my bag and phone when I go on rides I wouldn't want to bring them on. I usually do remember my locker number, and if I don't, at least I remember the first number so I know which bank of lockers to go to. That little "I forgot my locker" button can be quite the lifesaver.

And just a quick little tip, if for some reason the finger print reader won't read your finger print, just give the screen a quick wipe with the end of your shirt or something and try again. I've had to do it a couple of times.

A couple of pros here also suggest only lightly pressing your finger on the reader seems to help also.
