And They Lived Happily Ever After - A June '11 Disneymoon TR! THE END - NEW PTR!

Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite water park. I've never been there for Magic Hours, but it sure looked like there weren't tons of people there.

I'm sorry that you weren't able to find the Crush n' Gusher. I do have to admit, it is kind of difficult to navigate TL, especially if you've never been there before.

Hmmm, I may have to try to donuts next time....;)

Wow, TL was so empty when you were there! I can't believe there was no one in the lazy river, when I was there, it was packed! :scared1:

I like the "Falls" slides, those are the only kinds of water slides I like, the ones at Blizzard Beach are just too much for me. It's not that I'm afraid of them, I hate the feeling at the end, when the water basically pounds you, so you come to a stop! :rotfl:

I'm sorry you guys couldn't find Crush N Gusher! It's in a weird place, off in a corner of the park, I think it took us a little time to find too! It's fun, but since it propels you uphill, the little things they have on the slide to push you up kind of hurt your butt! :rotfl:

I hate the wave pool...I went in it for about 10 seconds and was out! Brandon, of course, loved it, he went all the way to the back where the huge waves were!

Loving your trip report so far. You got some really great pictures. Congrats on getting married (I know I am a little late.)

just joined!!! LOVE your TR, Congrats to you on your stunning wedding. I got married July 15th and am planning our overdue honeymoon for 1/26/12-2/4/12 at POR!

I love TL!! When I was a CM a few years ago, I would go to TL on my days off. It was so nice to sit there with a good book and waste the day away! I eventually had collected mugs from each day of the week haha. I was debating about getting a Waterpark AP but I'm hoping to get seasonal status again and then it will be free :)

What's your mistake?! You forgot your belongings in your locker?!!!

I'm sorry you guys couldn't find Crush'n'Gusher. It's so much fun! I have to agree though, that they are a bit hard to find. I think the best way to find it is to always follow the outside of the lazy river, not stay close to the wave pool.

I'm like Miguel, I LOVE the surf pool. It's my favorite thing at Typhoon Lagoon! The waves are actually easier to maneuver where the water is deep, as they haven't "break" yet and you just kinda float up and down with them. The breaking point is where all the power comes in. You do have to be able to thread water to stay in the deeper place though, which is why Ron hates it. I enjoy it everywhere! :yay:

OMG, I had those donuts for the first time this trip and I have to agree, they are Y-U-M-M-Y!!!! popcorn::

Just read through your report and enjoying it so far! :thumbsup2 Congratulations on your wedding!

Glad that you enjoyed your Segway tour. We did it a couple of years ago and we had so much fun! I think the Segways have changed since we did it (we had to twist the handlebar to turn left or right, but now you lean, don't you?), so I'd like to do it again one day.

Looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip :goodvibes

I have never been to a water park either so I liked seeing your pictures! You can't leave us hanging! I really hope you didn't get fried because that would be painful!!!!

Good luck on finishing up your MBA. I have a degree in Marketing & International Business but not sure if I could ever go back for my MBA. I would love to but my field doesn't require a MBA and I have already taken out alot of loans for my undergrad and don't want any more debt.

Typhoon Lagoon is a lot of fun, I'm glad you got to go there. I've never been to Blizzard Beach though so I can't say it's better. I hope you didn't get a sunburn.

Uh oh... I hope your huge mistake wasn't a huge sun burn! :scared1:

I usually steer clear of the waterparks only because my trips aren't usually long enough for me to justify missing time at the theme parks... but whenever I see a TR with a waterpark, I remember how much fun they can be!

I just read your trip report (well up to this point-lol) and I love it! You are such a cute couple!

Congratulations on your marriage!!!!

Looking forward to reading more!

Congrats on your last semester of school! December will be here before you know it!

Loved the update. If you're not much of a water park person, I'm betting you liked TL better than Blizzard Beach, no? I know I did. Personally though, if I never went back to either I'd be perfectly happy. I prefer parks where I don't have to walk around in my bathing suit! lol

So glad you enjoyed the Segway tour! I really would like to do that tour again now that I can ride a Segway. :thumbsup2

Chefs de France: That flatbread looked delicious as did your French mac & cheese! Have you seen Ratatouille since you've been back?? I love that movie.

So cool that you did the Pick a Pearl! I've never done it myself but you got a great one!

Cute wedding souvenirs! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: for almost being done with school!!

Sounds like you had a great time at TL!

TL is my favorite water park, though we've only been there once! I really hate that you couldn't find Crush N' Gusher, as I think you would have enjoyed it! Sorry that you didn't like the wave pool, but I can understand why! You do have to be careful!

I've heard about those donuts before, so they are definitely going to be on my list the next time we head back to TL!

Awesome update, by the way!!

I really enjoy typhon Lagoon. My experiences there have been great minus the first time I went. It was towards the end of the day and I was running to play some game they were doing and my foot caught one of the beach chairs and down I went. At first my mom and dad thought I had just really stubbed my toe, but after about an hour my foot had swelled to an ungodly size. When we got back in to town my paents took me to the hospital and I had acctually broken my foot. My two little toe still do this weid curving thing where they curve behiend my middle left toe on my left foot. Needless to say, no more running at typhon Lagoon! Other than that though, I love going to Disney's waterparks. I am glad you and Miguel had a good time here.

Oh yay tl!! Yeah crush n gusher is hard to find my bf and I took some time to find it. I personally like BB better . The wave pool is fun, and it actually is a little easier if you go out farther you just have to know to swim into the wave and you don't get knocked down like you do in the shallow end.
Thanks for the hanger!

It was very quiet there for a while. It was nice! I wouldn't have normally picked to go during EMH, but it just worked out that way, and I'm glad it did. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, you must get the donuts. They are amazing! :thumbsup2

The lazy river did get busier as the day went. I took all of those pictures when we first arrived! Our first time around it was pretty quiet, though. Our second ride wasn't quite as peaceful.

I wish we had of been able to try Crush n Gusher! I guess that will just give us a reason to go back! ;)

Loving your trip report so far. You got some really great pictures. Congrats on getting married (I know I am a little late.)

Thank you so much! So glad you are enjoying the report! :goodvibes

just joined!!! LOVE your TR, Congrats to you on your stunning wedding. I got married July 15th and am planning our overdue honeymoon for 1/26/12-2/4/12 at POR!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Congrats on your marriage and upcoming honeymoon! Let me know if you do a PTR or TR. I'd love to follow along! :goodvibes

TL would be a great place to go and relax with a book! Just like being on a tropical island! :cool1:

I was so disappointed that we couldn't find Crush n Gusher! I guess I probably should have asked someone. :headache: Next time we will definitely do it.

It sounds like I was in the wrong area of the wave pool! I was getting knocked down left and right! I hated it! :scared1:

:welcome: So glad to have you joining in! :goodvibes Yes, you do lean to turn on the Segways now! Our instructor told us about how you used to have to turn that handlebar and that it confused a lot of people.

I have never been to a water park either so I liked seeing your pictures! You can't leave us hanging! I really hope you didn't get fried because that would be painful!!!!

I really hope the MBA is going to be worth it. I've definitely spent a lot of time and money on it! :lmao: That's kind of how I look at a Ph.D. A lot of people have asked me if I will go for the doctorate, but in business, the only reason to get it is to be a professor, which isn't in my plans right now. I'd say if it's not going to further your career, why spend the time and money? :confused3

Typhoon Lagoon is a lot of fun, I'm glad you got to go there. I've never been to Blizzard Beach though so I can't say it's better. I hope you didn't get a sunburn.

We really enjoyed TL! I'm so glad that we had time to go this trip. As for the sun burn...:rolleyes1

Uh oh... I hope your huge mistake wasn't a huge sun burn! :scared1:

I usually steer clear of the waterparks only because my trips aren't usually long enough for me to justify missing time at the theme parks... but whenever I see a TR with a waterpark, I remember how much fun they can be!

We normally never make it to the water parks for that reason, too! I think on a week-long trip it is impossible to find the time to fit them in. After this trip, I am starting to think that I might as well start planning 10 day trips if I want to fit everything in!

I just read your trip report (well up to this point-lol) and I love it! You are such a cute couple!

Congratulations on your marriage!!!!

Thank you! It's been a lot of work - I am definitely ready for it to be over with! :lmao:

I enjoyed the water parks, but it's not something I'd do every trip. Maybe once ever 3 years or something. I agree - I don't enjoy walking around in a bathing suit, either! :rotfl:

It sounds like I was in the wrong area of the wave pool! I was getting knocked down left and right! I hated it! :scared1:

The two little islands at the very beginning of the wave pool actually create some side waves in the middle. The best place to be if you really don't want to be knocked around at all is the shallow part way off to either sides, where the pool really pans outward.
