You think thats bad, she says she won't start a new TR until this ones done:eek:

Jen should be home in a few hours or so. I say Welcome back, and hurry and get this TR done so we can see what you've all done this past week!:thumbsup2

Welcome back. I'm loving the pics you've been putting on facebook

Welcome Back Jen! As much as I am sure you are NOT happy to be back! We are so we can read all about it!!! :lmao: I really hope you guys had a wonderful time!!!

Yes, I am back! It was a great trip. We did a lot of touring and it was all just fun, along with being a learning experience. If you are reading my PTR, you know we had lunch on the Dream at Cabanas, which I was very excited about and we toured the EXACT stateroom I stayed in, which also mademe very excited.
I also posted a few pictures on my PTR.
If you followed along on facebook, you know that Claire's Phineas and Ferb had snuck into my bag and had their own adventure and they to, will have their own TR...which actually may come first, as I promised I would get those pictures done for Claire...and she does outrank you all. LOL! :confused3 But I will honestly say, don't expect anything till mid Sept. I have photopass to get yet and I would like to include them in the TR as I write. Also, I have this baby to finish up. And I still have a couple of days on this...and you know how fast I've been going....LOL! :rolleyes1
I am also going through my pictures...on camera, as I haven't loaded them to the computer yet...and writing up notes so I don't forget everything....I can tell I am already forgetting some things, but hopefully if I do forget some stuff Brook will remember and chime in.
Speaking of Brook, I am so happy she was my room mate. We got along well. We didn't smother each other and had no problem taking time away from each other. I got to meet Henry and Joe, and they are both so nice as well.
I learned a lot and it was really nice touring resorts that I had only seen in pictures before. I got a bit more knowledge about them.
We had 2 fabulous leaders, Tommy and Rita. We were divided into 2 groups during the touring of the resorts and Tommy was our leader during those times. Tommy is a bit of a celebrity to us as well. For those who have taken certain classes, you will start to recognize him in some pictures.......he is the "professor" . On our last day we also got a little talk from Shana, who is also from those courses. Tommy did some of his poses and it was hilarious. He said they told him to make a face like he just sold a trip, and he then imitated the faces he makes...or if you scored under 80% on a test. We were laughing so hard, we had tears in our eyes. Of course the camera was just sitting on the table and I wasn't quick enough to think to get a shot of it.
I will be back to posting this trip in a few days. I am trying to weed down my email ( I had over 700 waiting for me :rolleyes1) Thanks for hanging in with me....still. :)

Sea World sounds like fun, would like to go there one of these days, if I can drag myself away from Disney!!!
Have a great time learning new things about our favorite place, sounds like an exciting trip :yay: Can't wait to hear all about it :)

Sea World was very fun...not Disney, but a neat new experience. I think we plan to go again in the future.

Jen - have a blast on your trip and can't wait to hear all the details!:thumbsup2

I did...thanks

Hope you have an excellent trip!

I did! :thumbsup2

From your FB account, sounds like you are having a blast. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Thanks for following along. When we were at Coronado I just kept thinking of you.

LOL - that is so cute that Claire was worried about your Dad!!!! Feeding the dolphins sounds fun, I don't think they had that when we went in '05? I know you are having a great time and can't wait to hear all about it.

He needs some leadership at times. LOL! I'm not sure how new it is. I had read Rinky Tinky's report in 09 and she talked about it and really thats the only reason I knew it existed.

Whew! All caught up! :rotfl2: you are such a great story teller and all your pictures are fabulous! I can't wait to read your AEP TR!

Claire is such a beauty! Her BBB pictures and the Mary Poppins ones are so precious!!! Makes me want a little girl! but Rhett did say he would turn into a pirate next summer on the Fantasy! :thumbsup2 your photos have gotten me so excited about it!

I hope you are having an amazing time!!!

Thanks so much. It was a great trip. We got to know each other fairly well...some more than others. LOL!
Claire loves the BBB...and did you know the Fantasy is putting a BBB on it as well. And after all the attention she got from being Mary Poppins, I think she really likes that dress all the more.
I tried to talk Claire into the Pirates League, but she said it was too scary.

HOW CAN YOU GO BACK TO DISNEY WITHOUT FINISHING THIS TR FIRST!!!

I noticed I hadn't heard your sweet vocie lately! :littleangel: And yes, I need to get this finished. I guess the good thing is, I have a whole nother report to write to keep my occupied instead of wishing to go back. I really have no clue when our next big trip will be or to where. I am hoping to use the anniversary trick this upcoming year. I really want to sail the Dream, or even the Magic. But if he wants to do DL, which he has talked about several times, I'll agree to that as well.

You think thats bad, she says she won't start a new TR until this ones done:eek:

Sorry! :rolleyes1 I have tried that running a couple of reports at the same time...and it's hard. It sounds like you are now betraying this report. LOL! I still got some fun stuff to write about here too.

I do wish I stayed an extra night. We were so busy that it was hard to do any other things. I recommend you got a day early and stay at least 1 night extra. My plans I had made prior.... pretty much 80 % of them went right out the door.

Never!:rotfl2: I can't wait to see how this TR ends! And Kadence wants to see what other fun things Claire did and more Disney pictures too!

I plan on staying until Saturday. I was thinking of coming in on Sunday, but honestly, I wouldn't want to buy a one day park pass. So I am staying until Saturday. Your done pretty early on Friday aren't you? That way I will have pretty much that whole day to myself.. :thumbsup2

I'll get back to it then...If Kadence wants to see more, she sure will! :goodvibes

I came in on Sunday and met up with some freinds, but then went to DTD and over to Poly as well. It was amazing how fast that day with, even without ever stepping into a park. You could do that too. Hit DTD and really take it in. I had planned to go to AKL as well, but I never had enough time. There is plenty to do even with out going to the parks. I worried I would be bummed about no park that day, but I don't know how I could've fit it in.

Welcome back! Sounds like the trip was great! :)

It was fun. Like I have said though, very busy.....and hot.

Welcome back!!!! I will be very interested in your new report once you start it :) I may have to pick your brain sometime about being a Disney Travel Agent ;) I didn't even notice you had a pre-trip report! Duh!

It was a lot of fun, but very busy. I am anxious to start it, but I know I need to finihs this first. Plus I stil lneed to make notes about it so I don't forget anymore than I already have. :rotfl:

Feeding time began. We were warned not to leave our tray of fish on the ledge, as the dolphins would come along and take the tray and all and eat it and then your feeding experience would be over.

This little guy was watching and I tried to get a picture of him.

dolphinfeed7.jpg

I got a tap on my shoulder and received two slips of paper with a code. That meant they had taken pictures of you while you were feeding.

It was then that I noticed my battery was running low, so I just switched to my point and shoot since I had already gotten several dolphin pictures.

The feed was pretty much over now, so I went to the kiosk to enter my codes and see my pictures. It kept saying invalid and I asked a Worker and she said sometimes it takes a bit to load, so just come back in a bit. OK, so I went off to the side to change my camera battery and then it hit me….I left the battery charging in the room at POP! And we had checked out!!! How could I be so stupid? So I called the Disney line and got transferred to someone who could help…yeah right. They said lost and found had just closed at 4…and I believe it was now 4:15. They couldn’t do anything till the next day and they gave me a number to call.
I called the number right away and got some run around, but eventually was connected to a very nice CM who actually tried to help me. She said if Mousekeeping found it, it would be turned in and taken over to the resort lost and found. I would have to wait till 9 the next day to know for sure if they had it. I asked if there was a way to have someone check the room and after I asked several times, she did say she would send someone. I felt so panicky. I was pretty sure it had been found, but what if it hadn’t. I wasn’t about to NOT have my SLR for the last day. I had that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach…and what made it worse was because I did such a stupid thing and never double checked the room before we left. I didn’t care so much about the battery. I still had 1, but I just couldn’t charge it.
The CM told me she would call me back if it was found in the room and if not to call a certain number at 9 AM to see if it had been turned in.
I hung up with her and tried my luck with the picture Kiosk again. It now told me that my code was expired. So I went to the desk where you pay and had them look them up. Well the 1st picture wasn’t even of me. It was the lady next to me and I wasn’t in the picture what so ever and the 2nd…well lets just say it was one of the worst pictures ever taken of me. LOL! I did NOT purchase it.
I headed out and started making my way over to the Shamu Stadium. The CM called and let me know that it was not found in my room. She was really nice and I really appreciated her help. My Mom also called to let me know they were getting seats for the Shamu show and they would wave to me when I got there.
It was a very long walk, and I took a few pictures on the way over.

These were the pinkest Flamingos I have ever seen.

Did I mention it was a LONG walk over to Shamu stadium? It was and my feet were screaming. But I kept going. At one point, Mom called again to be sure I was on my way.

I have to say I find Sea Worlds layout confusing. I even said that to my parents at one point in time and my Dad said he found it much easier to navigate than Disney…go figure. But of course he had Claire’s map reading skills to get him around.

I did finally make it to the stadium and I couldn’t find them, so I called and we kind of talked each other through the people and I saw them waving. I went up to take my seat, but Claire insisted sitting next to Dad, so I moved down a bit next to Mom and we waited for the show to start.

I found the layout at Seaworld weird too. Also, It seem a bit carnival-ish to us. We all agree that it seemed so much smaller to us than we had imagined it to be.

Woohoo. The TR is on again. I have never been up close to a dolphin. I must do that sometime. They look so silky. I took my neice to Sea World in Ohio the last week it was open. They had a lot of encounters for people to meet animals that they didn't normally have before. Maybe a chance for the public to say goodbye to the animals? My neice was so scared she wouldn't let us go up close. So now I must go to Sea World in Orlando and see some real dolphins up close.

Love the dolphin pix....

and here we go! Left behind charger, lost card....ugh...:sad2:

Holding out hope you get it back?

Great dolphin pictures! I love their little faces!

I can't believe you left your charger behind! :scared1: That would have made me sick too! I hope you got it back. That is one nice thing about my p&s... it takes regular AA batteries, so I can get new ones anywhere if I need to. The new waterproof camera that I just bought is not like that though. It has one of those square batteries that you have to order online. I don't like that.

I totally agree with you about Seaworld. Very confusing layout!! :headache: I think all the Disney parks are a breeze compared with SW. The placement of everything just seems to be so random. I like the way Disney has it divided into "lands" and whatnot.

It was weird. There were many parts of the park that I never even made it to. I will have to go back. I wanted to see the penguins and Sea lions (or are they Seals there?) but never even found those areas. And basically didn't go near the rides either.

The last time we went to Sea World in Ohio they did have a petting area of dolphins. My son was leaned way over the edge and had his hand down a poor Dolphins throat. He wanted to feel the tonge. I had to tell him that it's tonsils were NOT the tongue. :rolleyes1 I felt so bad for those dolphins though, because I don't think it was minitored that well and people like my son have a huge interest in the body parts. My son was always into animals, but he wasn't always gental about it. Not trying to be mean, but more curious.

You could have at least taken a "redneck" version and posted it for us.

I never even thought about that....I guess I was a littel scatter brained at the moment, but I'm glad I didn't, then I would feel obligated to post it and it was BAD!

I couldn't beleive how forgetful I was that trip. I blame it on my Dad. :confused3 He got on my nerves at times and I felt pressured to hurry along. And sadly this isn't the last thing I lose either....but I do recover everything BUT the lost SD card.

Great dolphin pictures! I love their little faces!

I must've left my brain at home.
My waterprrof camera is like that as well. I haven't oredered an extra battery for it, but I probably should. I have 3 for my SLR now and the regular point and shoot take AA.
Sea World was very confusing to me. I never even covered half the park.

Yay, you are back! :thumbsup2 I'm glad that you had a fun trip and I can't wait to hear all about it! I love your dolphins pics from the last update - They are so cute!

Glad to see you're back and had a great time on your trip!

Your dolphin pics are amazing--even the point and shoot ones! I showed DH some of your pics so I can see if DH wants an SLR for Christmas!

Reading with bated breath to find out about all the lost articles and how they are found...
