Me and my three daughters (ages 17, 12, and 10) will be doing the canllelight processional on the 17th of Dec. our first time, I need some help picking a restaraunt. I will be paying out of pocket. We have done Garden Grill in the past and they do not care for Mexican food. Also, on the 17th it says the narrarater is to be announced....when will I find out who that might be?

thanks so much:thumbsup2

Not sure what type of food you would all like but all the restaurants in the World Showcase are very good (in my opinion). Garden Grill and the Mexican restaurants are out (from your post). You can also take Coral Reef out as it's gone downhill over the past 4 years (both food quality and service).

Based on my experiences our favorite is Chefs De France and Tokyo Dining. The food, atmosphere and service are fantastic. I'm not sure if you want a table service restaurant or not but if not, there are many good counter service restaurants in the showcase. Le Cellier was very good but very pricey. Without knowing your particular likes it would be difficult to tell you where to go. If it were me I'd probably go to Chefs De France.

Since you're doing this OOP, Biergarten and Via Napoli for lunch are your cheapest options.

Biergarten is a German buffet and has a German Polka-type band that plays during your meal and I believe there is dancing as well that you can participate in if you so desire.

Via Napoli is the newer Italian restaurant and gets great reviews. No entertainment, but a beautiful restaurant. With the pkg you do get app, entree, dessert, and drink.

How picky are your eaters? Mine are extremely picky, so that rules out most of the WS. We're doing Via Napoli for lunch for our CP day. We ate there when we were there in March and the pizza was great. Looking forward to trying some of their apps! For our family - 2 adults, 2 children - it was the most affordable option, as well. I also considered Biergarten, but couldn't get an ADR time I liked and LeCellier didn't make sense for us since we're paying OOP.
