I am looking for adivice on CS resturants WDW that have things other than burgers/french fries - We like salads, suchi, chicken and fish things. Also if anyone has info on CS with regards to gluten free food that would be great.

We have DDP so are looking for quite a few CS meals. 2 in each water park. 1 in MK, 2 in AK, 1 in EPCOT, 1 HS , 2 at Boardwalk , 2 in ddt, 3 in resorts

Thanks for any help

No idea about the gluten free stuff, but for some alternatives to burgers...

MK - Peco's Bills has taco salads, Cosmic Rays has some chicken and ribs platters amongst other stuff.

Epcot - Lots and lots here. Pretty much all the countries that have CS (outside of The American Adventure) have different options and Sunshine Seasons over at The Land also has a large, varied selection of different CS foods.

AK - Flametree Barbeque and Pizzafari have some different options as well (Flametree is highly rated on these boards too, I have 0 experience as BBQ isn't my thing).

DtD - Earl of Sandwich has, well, sandwiches and Wolfgang Puck Express is very highly rated and has some very different stuff (spaghetti, etc).

The other locations, I don't know.

(As a disclaimer, I'm repeating information and basing it off of general menu knowledge. I typically don't eat CS at the parks or resorts).

Starring Rolls in HS has sushi and sandwiches.
Pizza

MK:

Cosmic Rays has ribs, chicken.
Columbia Harbor House has awesome fish.
Tacos.. but they are just ok.

Epcot:
all the countries have CS meals. some are better than others.
Germany is one of our favorites, bratwurst and sauerkraut.
havent been to the CS in the Land, but have heard great things about it.

AK
hands down Flame Tree BBQ -- a must for us every trip

DHS:
Backlot Cantina has a good salad w/ grilled chicken

AK:
Yak& Yeti has a CS around the side that has lots of asian foods like orange chicken and a mandarin orange chicken salad.

MK:
Columbia harbur house near Haunted Mansion has Tuna sandwich, fish & Chips etc.

Check out allears.net for menus- they are sometimes incorrect but will give you an idea of what kind of food is carried there, even at some of the snack carts.

I rarely eat a burger at WDW. There are many other options. You can check out the menus on this site and see for yourself. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

want to look at Columbia Harbor House in MK. They have shrimp, fish, a tuna sandwich and a hummus sandwich.

In Epcot Sunshine Seasons has a wide variety of food including sushi. Yorkshire Fish House has fish and chips. Tangierine Cafe has schwarma and wraps. La Cantina de San Angel has various Mexican food which is good. I usually get brat each trip at Sommerfest.

For DHS look at the menus for Fairfax Fare and Studio Catering Company. Both have smaller menus but are generally good.

Have a look in the Disabilities sub-forum as well. There is a lot of info and discussions about eating GF and a range of other allergies and intolerances including CS.

I think you should go through menu allears.net or this one. Last trip, we were on DDP and I don't remeber having a burger once. There are lots of choices, such as pasta, fried shrimp, asian food, mexican, etc. :thumbsup2

There's also an entire section on allears about gluten free dining guest experiences. And they even list a point of contact at Disney that will send you a lot of information about gluten free dining on property. Lots of personal experiences too. Good luck!

In WDW - we like the QS near the Haunted Mansion... forget what it's called, but their tuna sandwich is really quite good.

Totally agree. I think in the past ten years, I've had two burgers at counter service. I've eaten chicken (Animal Kingdom), Chinese (at Epcot), Japanese (at Epcot), fish and chips (at Epcot), Philly cheese (at Magic Kingdom), baked potato (at Magic Kingdom), egg rolls (at Magic Kingdom), hot dogs (Epcot and Magic Kingdom). And I'm looking at ribs (at Animal Kingdom), pulled pork (at the Studios). Burgers can be found at Disney World but they are definitely not in the majority anymore.

I second checking out the menus on allears.net. Lots of choices. I can't remember ever having a burger at Disney. I like the chicken wrap at Pecos Bills. In March, I unwrapped the wrap, and actually made more of a chicken salad using the fixings on the bar. Yummy sauteed mushrooms!!

Epcot has lots of good selections in the World Showcase. One of my favorites is the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. We also like the fish and chips in England. DH and DS ate at the Japan CS and said the food was decent.

That's just a sampling!

MK - Peco Bills has a great taco salad. CHH has the best fried shrimp and the tuna sandwiches are delish!

AK - Flame Tree BBQ, very good food

Epcot - Tons of options here

DTD - WPE is excellent

HS - nothing does it for us here

Here are some resort suggestions:

POR- made to order pasta and salad stations- YUM! (And I will say it again- the Magic Cookie Bar from the bakery is a great dessert!)

Poly- The FC there had salads and noodle options (And Dole Whips!)

Admittedly, we don't eat CS very often, but here is a list of places we do like:

DD-Wolfgang Puck Express (Marketplace side) and Earl of Sandwich

MK-Columbia Harbor House

EP-Sunshine Seasons as well as tons of World Showcase CS

AK-Flame Tree BBQ

HS-Sorry, we really don't eat CS here, only sit-down.

If you have the chance go to the CS at Animal Kindom Lodge. It is called Mara and everything there is tasteful. I personally suggest the chicken flat bread and zebra domes for dessert.

Q

We have been to WDW 10 times in the last 15 years . We have only had burgers once and that was because we really needed a break from the heat and the ABC Commissary was nearby.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

In over 30 trips to WDW, I've NEVER had burgers and fries at CS. I love Tangerine Cafe, Peco's Bill (used to have a salad with jicama, next time I'll try their taco salad), Pizzafari in AK (hot deli sandwich), Min and Bill's in DHS (hot dog on preetzel bread), Captain Cook's at Poly (another salad), Food court at POR (LOVE their made-to-order salad), BC Marketplace (clam chowder), Liberty Tree Tavern (again, salad),Mara (butternut squash soup) etc. A PP made a good suggestion-check the menus beforehand.
