Well, I am being adventorous, and expanding my comfort zone!
Trying some new places....Rose & Crown being one of them!

Anyone there recently? :thumbsup2

We went there for the 1st time on our last trip in May. We went for dinner. It was very good. My DH had the turf & surf. He thought it was really good. But, he did say that he wish he would've just ordered the fish and chips because the fish was so good. I had the sunday roast with green beans & potatoes. This was also very good. For dessert, DH had lemon meringue pie that he said was very good. I had the chocolate scotch cake, which was delicious! We had to wait a little bit for our table but got a nice view - right on the water. And our waitress was very nice. I would definitely eat there again. Hope this helps!

We were there July 20th for dinner and LOVED it! We had a really great CM taking care of us who was more then attentive and friendly.

The food was totally praise worthy (and I wish I had taken pictures but I was soo HUNGRY!)! Will be going there again for the Scotch Egg, Fish and Chips and am more then willing to try a new desert (Sticky Toffee Pudding was DIVINE but far to sweet for me...my oldest DD who loves caramel though kept stealing my spoon!)

Was there this past May. Food was good but cold, like it'd been cooked earlier in the day but stuck under a heating lamp. However, our server was the best we had our whole vacation and he totally made up for the lacklustre meal we had. Not sure if my food experience was one-off but it's the one I got. Based on service alone though, I'd go back there and just hope for the food to be cooked a little fresher.

Rose and Crown is one of my Epcot favorites. I've been there multiple times, most recently in May. We ordered fish and chips and shepherd's pie (both quite tasty) and finally tried a scotch egg which was very good! And, like always, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was amazing. Seriously.

We like it--tried it for lunch in May :) We have dinner there in November too!

Hope all is well!! Tell DH we said hi!!

We ate there last Tuesday, it's a favorite of ours! DH spent a semester in Scotland where he fell in love with Strongbow cider so we always go there for that. We both had the fish and chips, good and greasy as always, and I tried the sticky toffee pudding for the first time, YUM!!!

Rose & Crown is a MUST DO for our family. We tried it for the first time three years ago, and we'd rather do that than any TS at Epcot. Even when we don't do the dining plan and pay OOP, we have to do Rose & Crown.
My husband is a huge fan of the surf and turf...giant steak and piece of fish with all of the trimmings. It's a giant portion.
I stick with the fish and chips. So yummy. My son loves the bangers and mash.
We took some friends with us in April and made sure to make an ADR there. We had entirely too much fun at the R&C.

Everything's great! A little crazy with the date change!! We decided to go alone in a private ceremony on November 10th on the Polynesian Beach!! It made everything 98% easier (and lots cheaper, lol--BLT is in sight now a lot sooner!)

I can't wait to see pictures!!!

We had lunch there in May. It was o.k., but not worth the $$. I think I just ordered poorly, but was not impressed by the food. We had a wonderful server, though. I think it's worth trying once, but maybe for dinner...

The potato leek soup was good. I had a salad, I'm not sure which one. I ordered the salad for the cheddar scones that came with it, but the scones were minuscule. I have some pics here:

We were there for lunch on 08/27 for the first time. Laura was our server from Liverpool and she was great, friendly and attentive. We maybe a 5 minute (if that) wait to be seated.

The dining room was casual and seemed pretty authentic to me.

We had the appetizer for two which included the potato leek soup and that was a real winner, especially for my son. The pasties were tasty (pastry with seasoned ground meat filling) and the scotch egg (hard boiled egg encased in ground sausage) was interesting, better than I thought it would be.

My DS and I had the fish and chips and they came out piping hot. Enjoyed the opportunity to put the vinegar on the fries but it also comes with a side ketchup. DD had the ground lamb shepards pie. I tried a bite and found this yummy, too, but I like lamb. DH had the burger with the fried egg and horseradish sauce and said the egg yolk gave the burger an additional richness.

Desserts were the scotch cake for DS and DH. DS didn't like the raspberry sauce on it but ate the cake. I had the lemon meringue, and the lemon flavor definately sang in this. DH had the no sugar trifle and ate most of it so must have met her standards.

The only disapointment really was that they were out of a few of the on tap beers. Maybe Hurricane Irene had disrupted transportation for a delivery but DH was looking forward to trying some new beers there.

Good experience and would happily return.

We go here every year and always have a great meal...

Fish & Chips, Sticky Toffee Pudding

we ate there a week ago.
the grilled salmon was outstanding as was the lemon meringue pie..

also the service was excellent!!

We ate there on our trip last month. We went for lunch - wait wasn't bad. Our waitress was sweet, but somehow there was a mix-up with our order. It ended up taking forever to get served.

I asked the waitress for her recommendation (Sunday Roast). I didn't enjoy it - it seemed overcooked and the meat was sliced too thickly. My DH had the Shepherd's Pie and said it was good, but not anything outstanding. The fish and chips served at neighboring tables looked really good and we were sorry we didn't order them.

We decided we would not return on future trips.
