Ontario Place tips?

Saw a PP with a similar thread for Canada's Wonderland and thought it's a great idea! ;)

We have never been to Ontario Place either. Our family (12 year old girl and 7 year old boy) are going this Friday.

I have taken a lot of information from the website yesterday, and it looks like it will be fun! Hubby & I will purchase the play-all-day pass and the kids will get the same pass free - thanks to the coupons the school handed out!

Any tips? Please & thank you!!

Our kids liked the flume ride, and as a bonus, you don't get really wet. The bumper boats are nice too as long as your son meets the height requirement. Atom blaster was another of our favourites which involve shooting foam balls at opponents. Be sure you take advantage of the cinesphere to watch a short (30-45 minutes) IMAX film when you need a break from the heat or walking.

You can take in food unlike Wonderland.

This is a very weird hit or miss depending on the security person at the entrance you go through at Wonderland. I have seen lots of people be able to bring in their own food and coolers, and I have also seen lots of people turned away at the gate trying to bring in their own food or coolers. I don't understand why many people can bring in food and at the same time they deny people from bringing in their own food :confused3

We were at Ontario Place today.
There are quite a few new things this year. When we got to the entrance it said no food, which I had packed and always pack.
But there was no issue with it. There are a few new rides which I think both kids would like. Go early as it you can as it gets crowded.

The reason that some people can walk in with their own food and coolers is that the person claims that they have allergies or the food is kosher or halal and security can't remove it. I was behind a young teenage boy whose bag was being searched and the security guard actually removed this poor kid's sandwich! I whispered to the boy to say that he had allergies and he told the guard who then put the sandwich back in the bag.

My EXTREMELY non-Jewish looking husband once looked the security guard in the eye and said that the food in the bag was kosher so they couldn't remove it. I was mortified but it worked and at the time we had no idea we couldn't bring in outside food.

Thanks for the information! Glad to hear I won't get soaked on the flume ride. ;) Just came back from Centreville and my DS7's favorite new ride is the flume ride! It didn't look as scary as Splash Mountain's drop so I actually went on it twice and enjoyed it. :) Ontario Place's flume ride is next. And the next time I'm at Disney, I should have no fears of Splash Mountain! At least, I can hope right?

Looking forward to tomorrow!
