Disney Magic stateroom renovations?

I thought I read in a post somewhere about milk, that someone stated that the Magic was getting fridges rather than cooling boxes. Is this true?

We were on the Magic in May and June. On several occasions we got a notice in our stateroom that some rooms near us were being renovated; please excuse the noise that may occur during specified hours. Various CMs told us that they had decided to renovate the rooms as the cruises thru the summer were not full and this would save time in dry dock. We were told that the hold was full of tubs and other large pieces being used in the renovations. According to one stateroom host, the rooms were being "completely re-done" including new tubs in the bathrooms, refrigerators instead of the cooling boxes, etc. The funny thing was that the tubs were mentioned by at least 3 CMs--must have made an impression on the crew.

Our host said that they would do any un-occupied rooms, then give upgrades in order to free the rooms they wanted to do next. The plan was to complete as much as possible thru the summer.

Wow this is exciting. We will be cruising the Magic for the first time in April...WOOHOO.

Any mention of the Magic getting the same bedside ipod clocks like the Wonder and Dream? They don't have those now, right?

I don't know what the Dream has, but we had lovely linens in May/June. They had a small tone on tone stripe woven into them (if that helps to identify them.) We had pillows of 3 different degrees of firmness in the room. The sheets were much nicer than what I have at home!

In December, we had a cat 5 and had a frig. In July we had a cat 9 and had the old cooling box. Maybe they are moving their way down.

Did they still have the blue print bedspread or a white duvet?

I know the Wonder bedding/linens has all been changed out to the new stuff. I will not miss those old blue bedspreads.

(OK, I wasn't IN every room on the Wonder, so they may still be changing some out, but all my friends cabins on the LA/Vancouver repo and 1st Alaska had been changed)

I agree the sheets are nice. I am hoping for new bedspreads.

I just hope that there are different clocks on the Magic when we arrive December 30th, 2011, I'm one of those people that it does not matter if I'm on vacation or not I need to know what time it is...especially in the middle of the night.... I'm still going to look for a battery operated digital travel clock to take with us just in case...As for the bedding and fridge...yes those would be nice as well...but I'm no the push for new clocks.

Is there a way to find out when the Magic is due to get new linens?
I read that the Wonder had them switched out in April (or maybe it was March) and that the Magic would be following suit... but it's now August and nothing yet.

Just curious... we are sailing the Magic in October!
