Our Disneymoon PTR + Wedding TR w/ pics - I'm back! (TR link and POP review 9/7)

Day 5 Not-A-Plan Plans

As you can tell from the title, there isn't a very fixed plan for this day.

First, we will hopefully be sleeping in and getting up late after being at the MK until the wee hours of the morning the night before. Then we will eat a big breakfast and/or lunch (depending how late we get up... :rolleyes1)

Then we will take the bus to the one park we haven't visited yet,
Epcotsign.jpg

Unless there is a big wait, we will line up right away for one of our favorite ride of all Disney,
Spaceshipearth.jpg

I don't know what it is about Spaceship Earth, but we just love it so much!

Then we'll head to World Showcase
Japanpavillion.jpg

There we plan on doing our own version of Drinking Around the World! I'm not a big drinker, and DH doesn't drink that much anymore, so I doubt we'll visit every country. We'll just walk around a few times, getting drinks and snacks as we feel like it. I'm thinking Mexico (Margarita), France (Grey Goose Slushie) and Japan (Sake Bomb, if they make some) will be my main stops. Probably several beers for DH.

While we do that, we also plan to stop here

To do several (most probably all) of the Kim Possible Missions.

And that, is all I have planned for the entire day. Explore each pavilions and save the world from villains one country at a time, with a drink (or two) in hand of course ;)!

Hopefully I don't do a repeat of my wedding day and pace myself better with the drinking. Oh, and I WILL bring my ID with me to make sure that there isn't a repeat of our Narcoossee dinner.:laughing:

What's your favorite drink in World Showcase, besides the obvious Grey Goose Slushie?

I'll add the next few days plans later, but I just had to post because I. just. can't. take. it. anymore. All summer I was doing fine, keeping myself busy and everything, but now it's too much. I am JUMPING out of my seat with excitement that August is finally here and that we are leaving in just over a week. :yay::dance3::cheer2::cool1::upsidedow:wizard: How will I make it through these next 8 days?? :headache::confused3 I want to be in Disney right now!

:banana::banana:1 WEEK!!! :banana::banana:

Day 6 Plans

Day 6 is our second day at Hollywood Studios.

Since on our first day we will have done the mad dash to Toy Story Mania, this time we'll make a beeline straight towards Tower of Terror & Rock'n'Roller Coaster and ride those as many times as we can before the crowds get too big.

Then we'll spend the rest of the day catching up on the shows and attractions we have missed from our first day, like

Beauty & the Beast

Indiana Jones

And the Backlot Tour

We'll also redo our favorites, which I'm guessing will include Star Tours and the Animation drawing class.

Maybe if we are done with the park early enough we'll walk over to the Boardwalk

and maybe even play a round of mini golf at Fantasia

Day 7 Plans

Another day of getting up with no alarm, then off we go to Blizzard Beach
Blizzard-Beach-2.jpg

Photo from wdwinfo

I don't know if we'll find the courage to go down Summit Plummet
Blizzard-Beach-250.jpg

Photo from wdwinfo

But we'll for sure be doing every other slide and activity, including the lazy river
Cross-Country-Creek-10.jpg

After our day there, we'll probably head back to the resort to rest and change, then go spend a few hours at Downtown Disney.

Actually, it might very well be the one night that we split up for a few hours.
Ron will go play his heart out at Disney Quest

While I do some more shopping around.
DTDFantasiaBrooms.jpg

I usually try to limit myself a LOT when it comes to souvenir, but this trip since we got a lot more money through wedding gifts then expected, we're not gonna worry so much about spending. I'll still watch myself, but it'll be nice to be able to get more things. :woohoo:

Woo hoo for one week! You must be getting so excited! I'm so excited for you! :goodvibes

Your drinking around the world plans sound pretty much like ours - we normally stop for margaritas and something from France and that's about it, so I'm not much help in that department! :lmao:

I am getting way too excited for my own good. Or actually, for my apartment's cleanliness' good. :lmao: All I want to do all day is read other people's trip reports and think about Disney.

I know there is no way I can drink that many drinks, so I'm trying to convince DH to not only share drinks, but to also skip America and Canada because, well, I can drink those beers any day.

Day 8 Plans

On day 8 we are going back to Epcot a second time and will finally spend some time in Future World.

Though we are not 100% sure what we will do first, I have a feeling it will be
soarinsign.jpg

Both riding it and getting a FP, then off to the other side of Future World to ride Test Track. Then maybe a ride on Mission Space green side.

After that we might head into Innoventions to try Sum of All Thrills. We'll probably leave the rest of Innoventions for the afternoon when it gets too hot to be outside.

No clue about the order, but we plan on hitting:
- Journey Into Imagination
- Captain EO
- Ellen' Universe of Energy (after lunch)
- The Seas with Nemo
- Spaceship Earth (of course!)
as well as taking time to explore all the post-ride areas of these.
rockfish.jpg

Basically, we want to spend as much time in Future World as possible, hit all of the attractions, a few more than once, and really experience all the little things that Future World has to offer. Lunch should be from Sunshine Seasons

Day 9 Plans

Day 9 is our second day at Animal Kingdom. Just like our second day at HS, it's a day for doing what we missed, and redoing what we love.

That means:
- Lots of Dinosaur
- Lots of Expedition Everest
- Probably the Safari again
- and Festival of the Lion King
FOTLK.jpg

We really want to try the crispy honey chicken from Yak & Yeti.

After we are done with Animal Kingdom my wish is to take a bus to a resort (Port Orleans, Old Key West or Saratoga Springs), explore that resort, then take the boat/walk to Downtown Disney for the evening.

Another option would be to take the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge, explore that resort, then take a bus to Downtown Disney. Once there we will have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express if we haven't done that yet. Otherwise, who knows?

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I haven't been feeling so well these past 2 days. I think it's side effects from antibiotics I'm taking for a stupid urinary infection. At least, better now than at Disney!

Clothes!

Inspired by SOUTHERNtinkerBELLE's pre-trip report I decided to take pictures of the clothes I want to wear. The only difference is, for the most part I haven't decided which ones I'm gonna wear when.

You will notice two things with these photos:
1. My camera is not that good at indoor pictures.
2. I'm not that good at positioning clothes on a bed to make them look good. :lmao:

I need your help deciding which shoes to wear for my romantic dinner, so I'll start with that.
I'll be wearing this little black dress to Fulton's Crab House
018.jpg

Which shoes do you prefer? The pink or the dark brown?
027.jpg

To take the plane to Orlando I will be wearing this. Just hope I'm not cold in the plane...
001.jpg

Then for our evening at the Polynesian I'll switch tops.

Animal Kingdom
003.jpg

Not sure between the next two for animal kingdom. First one is better for being soaked (Kali River), but second one fits better color wise...
006.jpg

010.jpg

All of these I will wear at some point, just no idea when. Any suggestions on which would fit better for which park?

This one is to wear to the water parks. It's the dress you can wear 7 different ways.

And finally, my swim suits.

Love the clothes! I especially love your collection of Mickey and Minnie shirts!!! I scoured ebay and Disney store clearance for Disney shirts in my size (XXL and larger) and found 1 for each day. I love Tink so I have 2 of her, 1 Jack Skellington for DHS, and 1 patriotic Mickey for either MK or EPCOT. I got DBF some Disney hawaiian shirts for our TS dinners. (he is a collector of hawaiian shirts) Do you have any Disney shirts for Ron or doesn't he wear them?

You inspired me to take pics of my outfits too!

Thanks!

I got all my Disney shirt at Walmart, two of which in the children section (I'm tiny!). I would have loved different characters than just Mickey & Minnie, but that's all they had (except for PJs, but I'm not gonna wear that in the park. :lmao:) I don't have any Disney shirts from Ron because 1. Walmart didn't have a lot of choice for men (more Universal or Nick characters, like the Grinch), and 2. I'm only just now starting to make progress in making him wear shirts that are not black/grey/white. Big motifs are still out of the question for now... but I haven't given up! ;)

Glad I inspired you to take pics of your own clothes! It actually helps me, because otherwise I bring way too many tops, and end up not wearing several because I already wore the shorts that go well with it earlier in the week.

BTW, do you have an opinion on which sandals I should wear to Fulton's?

We're leaving in less than 36 hours!!!

I went to Home Depot today and they were out of Alien green paint chips for the Lime Green Mickey Heads. :headache: Gonna try another one tomorrow that's on my way to visiting my mom.

I'm doing a condensed version of our last few days plans since I'm running out of time.

Day 10 Plans

Day 10 is the last really "planned" day of our trip. We will be heading to Magic Kingdom for the second time, and will focus on the other side of the park.

What that means is heading straight to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, then doing a lot of the other attractions in Adventureland, Frontierland and Liberty Square. I'm sure we'll be visiting the rest of the park too, but our morning will be spent there. We'll be having lunch at Pecos Bill probably

Day 11 Plans

Last time of waking up without an alarm. Going to a water park again, but will only decide which one the day of. Free evening.

Day 12 Plans

Third day at Epcot. No clue what we'll do, except that we have a late lunch ADR at Via Napoli. popcorn::

Day 13 Plans

Last full day. Third day at Magic Kingdom. It's morning EMH, so hopefully we'll be able to get up early enough to take advantage of it.

Another option would be to have a third day at Hollywood Studios, but I kinda doubt it. Wherever we end up, I'm sure we'll try to stay as late as possible to extend the magic.

Day 14 Plans

Departure day. :(
We have to take Magical Express around mid-morning and should be back home late afternoon/early evening.

:cool1::woohoo::yay::cheer2: In 24 hours we'll be on the plane on our way to WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3::banana::banana::hippie:princess::bride: :wizard: pirate:

Yay!!! Have a safe trip!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

You guys have a safe trip, take lots of pictures, eat lots of good food, hug a bunch of characters and come back and write an awesome trip report.

Thanks!

Have fun on your trip!!!!

Btw, I love splashes of color, so I would go with pink shoes!!

I'm sad I missed the big send off, but I'm happy that you're in Disney right now!!! I hope you and Ron have the most amazing honeymoon! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :goodvibes

I'm back!!! We had an amazing trip, filled with lots of little pixie dusts, lots of rides, lots of characters, and HOT! :wizard:

I have close to 2000 pictures, including about 100 photopass pictures. I'll go through them soon so I can start my TR, but it is the beginning of the school year so I don't know exactly when that will be.

For all of you whose TR or PTR I'm following, it'll take me a while to catch up, but don't worry I'll read them all. :)

Have fun on your trip!!!!

Btw, I love splashes of color, so I would go with pink shoes!!

I ended up going with the dark brown, mostly for comfort reason. But I do love splashes of color as well.
