PTR Intro:

Hello everyone! I can't believe I only found out about the DIS a little over a year ago… I've been lurking around here (mostly the DCL section ;) ) ever since and have learned many great things from all of you!... Thanks! Here in the Trip Reports section, I've enjoyed reading many of the great times you guys have had with DCL! I've only sailed once (in '08) and I've been itching to sail again ever since I debarked from the ship! :sad1: BUT, our next cruise is only 24 days away and I couldn't be more excited!

I know it's kind of weird… A 14 year old writing a trip report, and I know not much of them has gotten attention, but I hope for the best! :thumbsup2 Nevertheless, I'd still like to share my experiences with all you DISers! :goodvibes Hopefully you'll find it very helpful and be able to use them for a comparison as to how service on the Disney Dream has changed since her Inaugural cruises.

I've watched the Disney Dream ever since construction started in Meyer Werft, and now I'm dying to see her in person! I remember the good times of staying up late during a school night to wait for when the live WebCam starts updating and I'd squeal with joy! With me being the most excited person in the family to go on this cruise, I even counted how many sailings the Disney Dream will have made from her Maiden Voyage to our sailing - we're on the 54th! :cool1:

This is my first trip report so I hope you can all bear with me with all the mistakes I'm going to make! :goodvibes. I'll try to take as much pictures as I can to share with all of you and I hope everyone likes it!

For this cruise, I will be sailing with my Mom, Dad, and Brother (18).

(NOTE: This picture was from back in our August '08 cruise! :) Sorry if the picture is small, we just got a new camera, so hopefully the actual pictures from this year's trip will be much bigger :upsidedow)

Again, we've only cruised once back in August 31, 2008 on the Wonder with the same itinerary (4-Night Bahamian), but this time, we'd like to explore Nassau more than we did the last time. This year, we plan on going on the "Nassau Forts & Junkanoo Discovery" excursion. Hopefully the $41 is worth it! :thumbsup2

With only 24 days away, I can't keep my excitement inside anymore! Hopefully I can share it with someone in here just to keep me from bursting! I can't wait will that day! :hyper:

Cruise details coming up soon! I hope I didn't bore anyone! :goodvibes

My DD and I went on the Dream last month for a Mom/Daughter only trip to celebrate her 16th birthday! She loved it!!! I didn't think she would go to Vibe much since she's shy, but she did, and she loved it! So you'll have to check that out.

I found that the best way to pass time till your cruise, is to read a lot of the DCL TR's!!!!!! (including mine.......hint, hint :rolleyes1) :rotfl:

LOL! I spend a lot of time reading TRs too! :goodvibes I'm normally a shy person, but if your daughter went in more than you expected, I'm sure it'll also be one of the highlights of the cruise! (for me at least :lmao:)

Darn, now I'm drawn to looking for your TR! Can't wait to read it! :thumbsup2

Joining on your excitement! Can't wait to read your TR! You will do fine on it, hopefully more of us grown people will read it! Have fun!

I was watching the same web camera you were, and I can assure you that the wait will be worth it! Make sure you check out the 687 lounge (it's open to everyone except at night) to see the construction pictures there - I'm sure you will enjoy them!

Thanks for the info! For sure I'll be making a visit! :goodvibes

As you can see, the biggest highlight of the trip is the cruise! I wish we planned on making a longer stay at Florida so we can visit the parks, but I guess La Nouba's good enough for me :thumbsup2 Nevertheless, I think this will turn out to be one of the best vacation we ever had! :woohoo:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:18 DAYS LEFT!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hahaha… The day's getting near, but I can't beat to wait anymore! :goodvibes It's just that I have no other options but to do just that… WAIT. popcorn::

Anyway, I've been wondering if there had been any changes to the parking rates at port. I emailed Disney a while ago, but still no response. Have the rates really gone up to $20/day? If so, we might consider to going with Park n Cruise instead.

TIA! :goodvibes

Dang… 5 days left and I can barely contain myself.

Now is the time I'm getting worried about everything. Event he DCL website's giving me a hard time… IT WON'T LOAD UP! :sad2:

I read jenseib's TR saying that they weren't allowed to wear water shoes on the AquaDuck? I've also heard different. I want to make sure that I am able to record the Dream's horn, and it seems that they usually play them consecutively on Sea Day at noon so I have to be prepared for that too.

I'm dying to get one of those small Dream models, and the bad news is, they run out fairly quickly. I think I'm going to drag my parents to the shop as soon as they open so I can snag one :thumbsup2

We have everything we need! Plane tickets, hotel reservations, rental car, luggage tags… EVERYTHING! All that's left now is to pack! :woohoo:

I am little worried about our flight to Florida. We have to go somewhere and won't be able to make our way home back by 9AM on the day of our flight. And out flight is at 12:45PM! :scared1: it scares me to think about not being able to get to the airport on time and miss our plane :/ Hopefully everything goes well.

5 days and counting… :yay:

Wow, you are practically on the ship! Have fun and I look forward to your TR.

I guess that day finally came! By noon today (PST) we will be on the plane on its way to Orlando! And tomorrow, we board the ship! For sure once we get on, my mind's going to be in awe and will be distracted by the "wonderful-ness" of the ship itself! Right niw, i'm still confused over what to do after boarding (except to eat at Cabanas :thumbsup2)

Hopefully everything works out well! I sure will be taking thousands of pictures!

For now, see ya! One more update coming tomorrow before boarding the ship... :goodvibes

The day is here! We just woke up and are about to get breakfast. We're probably gonna head to the port soon right after we get our stuff ready.. Hopefully all the talk about Parl n Cruise are right! We're gonna findbthat out soon ourselves! :goodvibes

Sorry!… Turns out I won't be making a Trip Report… It seems that I didn't take any proper pictures fit for one… I'm sorry to disappoint those who were looking forward for my TR… :sad1:

Even though you have no pictures I'm sure everyone would enjoy reading about your trip.

:worship: Please post. :goodvibes
