dont leave it so long the next time kevin ;) :rotfl:

great pics of villains show

such a shame you missed your character breakfast, just the excuse you need to book the wbta

Wow, your trip sounds fantasti cso far. OK, so there have been a couple o fminor mishaps but, all in all, it sounds amazing. I would LOVE to do a Transatlantic. I hope there is another one in 2013.

Fantastic update.

Loved all your photos - you can never take too many ;)

What a shame you missed the character breakfast.

Hi, I love love love your TR's. I have been shamelessly lurking, and finally made myself a profile. Glad to see you back :) Your pictures are amazing!

I can not wait to read more about your trip. So jeously that we will never be able to take a 14 day cruise, but I live through all of you.

hello, do you remember if you had an opportunity to wash your clothes using a bag and filling it, and the crew do the wash for you?, i hope you understand me.

if so, what days and how it works

thank you

Thank you EVERYONE for all your kind words and compliments! I love reading people's responses! :) Since I had a new "fancy" camera, I definitely went picture crazy. Someone asked if I was able to enjoy the shows even though I was looking through a camera the whole time...the answer? Somehow, yes! Since I was familiar with most of the shows, I knew what I wanted to take pictures of, or knew when to set the camera down and enjoy a moment. :)

Wow....so glad you asked about this! I completely forgot to talk about that in my last update. I believe they offered that special twice on the cruise. The first time it was offered was on the day I recently added to the trip report (day 6). This is what was left on our bed that evening:

I believe this same special (or one similar to it) was offered again during the cruise, but I am unsure as to when exactly. I hope this helps!

I can't believe it's been 5 days since my last update! I feel like I JUST wrote that! Guess I better get to writing yet again...my how time flies! :)

We've used laundry service on DCL and while it's isn't inexpensive, it's an excellent "treat", and we budget it into our cruise expenses. Nothing like coming home from vacation with all clean clothes. LOL

I hope they offer that special on our 8-night next year. :)

P.S. Do you happen to have a copy of the normal laundry price list?? It's been several years since our last DCL cruise.

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION, I LOVE YOUR THREAD!!!!!

do you remember how is that bag? how large is? how many clothes can you put in?

thank you again and waiting for you to continue

Hi there!

The bag is probably of a medium size. If we were to have taken part of that special offer, we would've probably put our underwear and shirts in there. I don't have a picture of the bag unfortunately. It wasn't small, but it wasn't large either.

Hello!

I just found your thread and I'm just starting your story! It's fun so far!

I went to Jetty Park on the 14th to see y'all off! The love bugs were HORRID!!! Here's a link to my pics of the Magic sailing away. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for sharing your photos! I was definitely sad that we didn't have a proper "sail away" experience! It was so weird being trapped inside and not having a sail away party! We totally would've been waving from the top deck. But gosh those love bugs were quite horrendous, weren't they?! Was it weird not seeing anybody on the top deck waving?!

DAY 7 - May 20th, 2011 - Day At Sea #5 (Part 1)

We slept in a little bit today, so that was quite lovely. Our alarm went off at 10:15 and we proceeded to get ready. Today was going to be quite an exciting and eventful day! Since it was May 20th, we would be able to attend a “Movie Prem-Ear at Sea”!

But, before we that, we had some things to do! First? PALO BRUNCH! At 11:20, we made our way upstairs for our 11:30 reservation. We were promptly seated and Mirko (our server from dinner) was our server again. PICTURE TIME!

Complimentary mimosas!

As we were enjoying our Palo brunch, there was a Q&A session/autograph session going on in Rockin’ Bar D with Alton White (the “Mufasa” from The Lion King on Broadway). James and I went straight there from brunch (we finished at 12:30), while Mom and Dad went back to the room to change.

file-1413.jpg

When we arrived, the Q&A was over, but he was doing autographs! They had a number system going on, so we grabbed a number (#83, and they were on #20-40 right now). Within 15 minutes, Mom and Dad joined us in Rockin’ Bar D and we sat around waiting for our number to be called. At about 1:40, we were finally meeting Alton White. If I remember correctly, we were the last group or the second to last group. He was incredibly nice and seemed happy to be there! We got our autographs and went on our merry way.

DAY 7 - May 20th, 2011 - Day At Sea #5 (Part 2)

As we left Rockin’ Bar D, we went by Lumiere’s and I snapped a picture of tonight’s dinner menu.

file-889.jpg

We went back to the room to change out of our brunch attire and then made our way to Sessions to play Phase 10. Now, as you know, Promenade Lounge is normally where we end up, but I must say, Sessions was quite lovely and peaceful! It was about 2:00 at this point and the bartenders were beginning to set up for the martini tasting.

file-911.jpg

file-1502.jpg

James and I were actually signed up for this tasting, and we were excited for it to start! In the meantime, we continued to play our game and at about 2:45, Mom and Dad left and James and I made our way to the tasting area and secured a couple of seats.

The tasting started at about 3:00 and last a little over an hour. I accidently spilled one of my martinis while trying to take a picture! Oooops! A bartender came over and helped us clean up and then brought over a replacement one. At the end of the tasting, all of us received a fifth martini: Wedding Cake. Yum! Go us! Picture time!

After the tasting, we met up with Mom and Dad and went upstairs for some grub (gotta soak up that alcohol!). While upstairs, we noticed they had a cart full of blankets for the taking while on the open deck. It definitely was a little cold up there.

file-376.jpg

By 4:25, we were making our way to the Walt Disney Theatre for the “Prem-Ear” of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” A line had already formed at this point (not surprising).

The line in front of us:

The line behind us:

Some of the technicians were setting up the display at this point as well:

The doors opened at 4:40 and we were able to get seats in the center of the last row of the lower section. It was just James and I...I think Mom and Dad went back to the room to relax. The movie started at 5:00, but before it began, there was a surprise guest!

file-1923.jpg

We enjoyed the movie and there was a big reaction from the audience in the opening scene. As the scene began, it flashed along the bottom where it was taking place: Cadiz, Spain! What a coincidence! We would be there is just a few days!!! That was a fun little moment for everyone.

By 7:15, we were exiting the theatre and making our way back to the room to change for dinner. Along the way, we found Max in the lobby!

DAY 7 - May 20th, 2011 - Day At Sea #5 (Part 3)

At 7:30, we were back in the Promenade Lounge with Mom and Dad continuing our Phase 10 game from earlier. As we were playing, “The Wheel” game was going on, hosted by a couple members of the Cruise Staff. About 30 minutes later, we started making our way towards the lobby. The doors outside Lumiere’s opened at about 8:25, and in we went!

file-1898.jpg

Tonight was the rotational dinner menu which is VERY similar to the rotational dinner menu for Triton’s on the Wonder.

file-2381.jpg

file-1384.jpg

For the first course, James and I both got escargot:
file-1771.jpg

Dad got the applewood smoked bacon and wild mushroom tart:
file-438.jpg

Next, James and I got the french onion soup:
file-692.jpg

For the main course, Mom and Dad got the beef:
file-790.jpg

I got the lobster macaroni:
file-629.jpg

And James got the duck:
file-2406.jpg

He didn’t like it at all, so sent it back and got the beef instead. He normally enjoys duck, so this one must’ve been pretty bad for whatever reason.

Dessert menu:

Mom’s sundae:

James and I got the creme brulee:

Dad got the souffle:

As we were enjoying our dessert, we had special guests! Belle, Beast, and some court dancers arrived and waltzed for us!

By 10:00, we were leaving Lumiere’s and heading back to the Promenade Lounge for more Phase 10. We also got on the internet at this time and the internet connection wasn’t too bad, surprisingly. At about 10:45, late night snacks were set out, so of course we got a plate!

file-2030.jpg

Shortly after getting that plate, cheese sticks and chicken fingers were added! Two of my favorites!!!! So, of course we grabbed some of those items as well!

It was after 11:30 when we left the Promenade Lounge and went to our rooms to retire for the evening.

file-468.jpg

At about 12:00 (1:00am after moving our clocks forward), we were crawling into bed. I actually was getting a migraine at this point and my throat was starting to feel scratchy. Oh no! I popped some pills and hoped that I wasn’t getting sick. What an awful time to get sick!!!! Stay tuned...

another fab update kevin :cool1:

i think ive picked my dinner for lumieres:rotfl2: just seeing your pictures

Thanks for the responses! I should have another installment up soon!

fantastic!!!

do you have all navigators? can you post them?

We did save all the Navigators and placed them in a big ol' binder. Scanning all of them would take an insane amount of time (since each Navigator is 4 pages), so I'm not sure if I'll get around to doing it. I really want to share them though...just wish it didn't take so long to scan, save each file, and upload, haha.

The navigators were posted on another thread... I think the WBTA thread... if I see it I'll post the link
