I need the cheapest transport from LGB to Paradise Pier in Aug. Anybody heard of or used mickey's space ship shuttle? They are charging my family of 5 a total price of $45 to take us one way.

I've seen that on the highway before. I don't think it's associated with Disney.

Every couple of months, someone will post a question similar to yours on this board regarding the company you have asked about.

I have never used them and have no first-hand experience with them. That said, I live in So Cal and had never ever heard of them until someone posted an inquiry about them on DIS.

If you visit their web site (have you?), you will most likely be somewhat frightened, or at least skeptical. It is filled with errors, typos, and looks VERY unprofessional. To ME, if you don't care about the looks of your web site, I'm not so sure I want to trust my life in your hands on the road.

Of course, it's your decision to make and as I stated originally, I have never used them.

Maybe check out SuperShuttle or PrimeTime Shuttle. They are both every well known and reputable in the area.

Wow, that is one crazy website. I know nothing of any of the transit companies in the area, but I do know that this one wouldn't be on my list of companies to call.

I've taken the supershuttle from the airport to my apartment a few times, and I know they have a "Disneyland Express" (because Im always tempted to get on it!)

I tried to find a picture of Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle online but this is the closest I could find:

Just looked at the website. They have pictures of other busses on fire. Classy.

Ha ha thanks for the *pics* and advice. I am renting a car going back to LGB on the last day so we can go to the beach and stuff than drop off at airport. However, renting a car on the way to DL is still coming up up more than shuttle. I will keep checking :)

Believe it or not my family used them about 5yrs ago or so. I think it was Mickey himself (the owner) who was our driver. Very informative about sightseeing info, very polite. One day my mom and sister were walking from our hotel to target and on the way back Mickey had been driving by and stopped and gave them a free ride back to our hotel :) That being said, if it is a huge savings I would definitely go with them but if it is only like $10 you may want to go with someone you feel more comfortable with. ;)

You should be able to get a rental for in the 15 to 20 dollar range a day.

My family has taken a taxi from Long Beach airport to one of the hotels right across the street from Disneyland. I think we paid $50 plus a $5 tip if I remember correctly. :)

We used them for going back to LAX from Disney in June. The website is super scary but they had infant seats which is one of the reasons I bothered.

The driver we had was super informative and chatty. I don't think he stopped talking the entire drive.

All and all the shuttle was in good shape, the driver drove very safely and it was a bit cheaper than super shuttle (that and we booked it last minute, having forgotten that we hadn't booked a ride home).

I totally agree about the website. We're in the process of booking our first trip to DL, and we came across this company. After I checked out their website, I thought they were so unprofessional and I was so surprised that they would get any business based on their website alone.

There are other places out there at comparable prices. I guess you risk your shuttle catching on fire or breaking down, but at least their websites are nicer!
