Introduction Name Ideas

I know there's another person's thread like this going around right now, but I thought I might get more response if I started my own thread.

I'm getting married in September. I want us to be introduced as something funny and cute (i.e. not our real names). Also prefer something wedding/marriage related or as a "famous" couple from a wedding movie or TV show or something like that.

As I stated on the other thread, my original thought was Princess Consuela Banana Hammock and Crap Bag (Gotta love Friends ;)). I don't think FH is so hot on that one. :sad2:

I'd prefer something perhaps a tad bit unusual (so, Cinderella and Prince Charming or Belle and the Beast are definitely out). But not so obscure that nobody will know what we're talking about.

So, I need your help coming up with a name! FH is a member here too, so he'll probably chime in on ones that he really likes, and that's perfectly OK. ;) Any and all ideas are welcome! :)

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one, but my kids recently suggested that we be introduced as "Isidor and Ida Strauss." We had recently visited a Titanic museum and they were fascinated by the Strauss story.

Yeah... that's a little more obscure than I was looking for. ;) I happen to live in the same town as a Titanic museum. I seem to remember the Strauss name. Did he, by chance, die in some honorable manner or something? I can't remember what their story was (SO many, of course), but that name does ring a bell (since I've been through the museum, literally, a dozen times, I feel as though I know each and every person on that boat personally! :rotfl:) And no, Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson is out of the question as well. ;)

I figured that would too obscure. . .and perhaps bad luck to boot. Mr. Strauss was co-owner of Macy's (very wealthy). He and his wife were in their upper 60's, I believe, when they were on the Titanic. His wife refused to leave him to get on a life boat, deciding that she would rather die with her husband than to live without him. The classiest touch was when she handed her fur coat to her maid in the life boat.

I remember that story now! Like I said, I can't remember ALL of which stories are attributed to which people, but I do think I've heard every story (at least the really touching or interesting ones) at least once on my numerous trips through the museum! That is a very, very, very sweet story though!!! :lovestruc
