Cruise documents

I'm on the phone with my TA because I'm trying to track down my cruise documents (others on my meet board have received theirs), and she's telling me that I won't be getting anything because everything is set up as electronic with Disney to save paper! :scared1: Has anyone else heard anything like this? I want the cool packet with my tickets so we can get all excited!:sad2:

I've only cruised once but I read these boards every day and no, I haven't heard about this.

We cruised in March this year and the cruise documents came as expected.

You don't really need the documents to cruise, but the packet is useful.

The other item in the documents you'll need are the luggage tags. I think you can get these as port, but that seemed like the most needed item in the mailing.

I did online check in and we got our docs with luggage tags for the cruise about a month before. Usually we get them about 10 days before the cruise, but you should still be getting them. Not a DCL specialist, eh? Tell your TA that she is wrong and needs to confirm with DCL if your luggage tags have been sent out yet. You won't get the big pack with the tickets like they used to send.

Thanks. The TA just got back to me to say DCL said they will indeed be sending out docs, and they haven't yet. In response to my exasperated, "but my friends in England already got theirs!" she told me there is a UK office and they do everything separately. Huh. So it seems they just haven't been sent yet, and that they will be sent to my TA. We're doing an Adventures by Disney add-on so I expect there will some stuff pertaining to that as well. Just ANXIOUS! :rotfl2:

I'm not sure about the euro office - ours came fedex'd from Orlando!! mind you that could be because we booked with dreams unlimited??

My TA just emailed me yesterday to tell me that she had our cruise docs in hand and was waiting until our WDW docs arrived to mail them all to me together.

You should still get a packet in the mail. Even though DCL does have you do the online check in you still get a packet in the mail.

I just got my packet (with my DCL luggage tags) in the mail last week for our August 16th cruise and I completed my online check in about six weeks ago.
