Med Cruise- Uncrustables?

I remember reading about people getting Uncrustables on board and taking them with them on excursions. Can anyone tell me if they are available on the Mediterranean cruise? If they are, what is the best time to get them? I know we should ask for them to be left frozen and in the packages but will they be ok if I get them the night before and let them thaw in the fridge overnight or do I need to get them in the morning before we get off the ship? We never eat these at home so I'm not sure how well they hold up but we're planning on taking the kids with us in every port and I want to make sure I've got something for them to snack on if needed.

Any other suggestions for things available on the ship that would make good portable snacks?

Yes- the Uncrustables are available. We ordered them from room service frozen the night before and asked that they not thaw them. They also have cookies that you can order to take. Some people have posted that taking food off the ship is frowned on- there is a sign at the gangway. But I asked because I also had a 14 month old with me and needed to bring his food and milk/juice with us. I was told it was perfectly fine to bring food for my kids. So I did it in every port and never asked again. But we never ate the sandwiches because it was very easy to find food they liked- for example, the pizza everywhere is fantastic and lots of fresh fruit and pasta, too.

Make sure you bring a small cooler with you for your 14 month old's milk, etc. They have milk available at Topsider's, at the drink station on deck 9 and you can order it from room service. We would order it and keep it on ice since our room fridge did not keep things really cold.

Hope this helps! Feel free to pm me with other questions. I had a 5 year old and 14 month old on the June 18 sailing.

Thank you! :worship:

Both of my kids are good eaters and love trying new things so I'm not too worried about finding things for them to eat when it is meal time and I'm sure we'll make a few stops for things like gelato but wanted to make sure we had some other things with us to snack on so we don't have to spend our whole day in restaurants (I think my son is a bottomless pit) ;) I hadn't even thought about needing to take milk with us off the ship! I'll definitely make sure I bring one of our small coolers for that. Did you find that milk/fruit juice were difficult to come by in the ports?
