Maybe you all know about these and I'm the last one to the party, but I just found out about Sanuk sandals.

They have a store at DTD in California and while I was looking in the window, a women said to me....."my boyfriend is addicted to these. He has a dozen pair and has started collecting them."

This intrigued me enough to go inside and lo and behold, they actually carried my size. I bought a pair almost a week ago and haven't had them off my feet except to sleep and shower.

These are the most comfortable things I've ever worn.

They look a bit earthy / crunchy and are completely vegetarian / vegan.....but when they feel like
this....who cares?

There is also a store next to our hotel in Hawaii and yes, I am now the proud owner of a second pair.

In the future, if you run into me....I can pretty much guarantee that I will be wearing a pair of these sandals (according to all advertising materials....THEY AREN'T SHOES)

I think they look a bit nicer than Crocs....and don't get my wrong. I'm a huge Crocs fan....but they do have their limits.

I even wore them into the ocean today and they dried pretty quickly.

I am a definite convert. I have seen the light. My feet will be comfy from know on.

Check em out.

Kevin, which style did you get? I have not found size 15 sandals yet (for dh).

I bought the ones with the cloth upper part.....not the thong / flip flop type.

i'm definitely not into thongs - of any kind...

so the cloth upper ones are comfortable?

interesting.....i would think they might dig into the back of my foot....you know, where people get blisters....don't know what that's called....i guess the achilles heel? dunno...

off to take another look...

(i just realized it's still yesterday where you are!! 11:30 PM.....too weird...it's already afternoon for me)

They also sell Sanucks at the Quiet Flight Surf Shop at Universal Citywalk. I recall seeing them and being intrigued.

I bought memory foam flip flops last night. Holy Moley they are amazing on the feet.

I like the looks of many of these...and we have a lot of dealers in the area...I'll have to check them out...thanks for the tip !!!!

Just heard about these this past weekend while at a wine festival - this woman I was speaking to was raving about them...I need to find these!!! Glad to hear another person raving madly about them! Checked out the link and the women's are all thong-style and quite attractive. The men's has one that is a slide-style.

The women's yoga mat ones look amazingly comfortable! I'll have to check them out.

Isn't this the "shoe" store that is supposed to open at WDW DTD? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong and it was really DLR that was getting it.

I have three pairs of the sanuuk womens yoga mat shoes and love them. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, although my feet do hurt wearing them for 2 weeks straight at Disney since your on your feet all day. But there is aboslutely no rubbing and they are so soft and comfortable (just my arch hurts).

This year I bought a pair of orthaheels that have a built in arch. They are not soft and comfy like the sanuuk's, but hopefully the bottoms of my feet will do better. I'm bringing both to Disney this year, so I have two types of shoes to fall back on.

I highly recommend the sanuuk though and the orthaheel.

I was in Provincetown on Friday and I was in a store that was carrying them. I had never heard of them before and I was intrigued. Especially by the beer cozy ones! They were so soft! Unfortunately I was with a large group that didn't want to wait for me shoe shopping... but now I may have to look into it further!

I found some new super comfy sandals this spring myself. They're the helly Hansen brand from the puffins roost in the Norway pavilion. They are regular thong style flip flops but with almost a tennis shoe sole and the thong is fabric not leather or plastic which makes a big difference! I have worn these most every day since I got them in erly April. In fact all my other flip flops have gone unworn and vie inky worn my tennis shoes when we went to Disney. I don't see them on the helly Hansen site, but I think you cn still find them in the Norway pavilion.

I am definitely going to check them out. I was a Croc junkie until about two years ago and now all I wear is flip flops. These sounds good though.

EDIT: I just jumped a mile while looking at the women's sandals and the website starting talking.

I have a pair of Sanuk yoga mat flip flops, these: http://www.sanuk.com/ibiza-links

They are amazing and super comfortable! The only thing that happened to me when I wore them to an all day and all night concert was the left foot rubbed my one toe, it could have just been my feet though (well my one foot, hah).

I highly recommend them and will be looking into getting another pair!
