Are drinks allowed on the buses, boats, or the monorail?

A bottle with a cap, or a coffee cup with a lid, yes. Cans, alcoholic beverages, or cups without lids, no.

The refillable mugs from the resort was really what I had in mind.

I have seen people on the resort buses carrying their refillable mugs and nothing was said to them. I have always wondered why they took them with them. Seems odd to me to spend all day dragging them around the parks when you can't use them there.

I take mine to the park b/c we fill them in the morning and I use them in the park when we get our drinks we put them in the mugs they hold up better especially in cup holders on strollers and then we refill when we get back to the resort.

We do exactly what the pp does fill up in the morning on the way to the bus and when we have leftover drinks (we always ask for the large drinks at CS places)from our CS meals we pour them into our mugs, then when we return back to the resort we refill them before heading back to our room.

Never have had a problem getting on the buses with them either/

I think the regular park drinks they may ask you to throw away but that may also depend on your bus driver.

Yep, brought my refillable mug to all the parks with no issues at all! The only thing to remember, don't bring a plastic straw with you to AK. No biggie, but you can't have plastic straws there. They will give you a cardboard one if you ask. I liked having my wake up diet coke on the way to the park and I did pour any leftovers in my mug since it was easier to carry. Once empty, I tossed it into my bag!

I'm usually carrying the Disney resort provided styro cup filled with my in-room brewed coffee in the morning and no bus driver has ever said anything to me.

I carried my mug with me this past trip and whenever I at a TS or QS meal and had drink left over (I didn't voluntarily ask for a refill at the end of the meal - I just used what they would have thrown out because I had already drank out of it), and poured that into my mug and brought a straw along with me.

You should have no problem. Offically, there are signs that say no food or drinks on the bus. I have never had a driver ask me to put my refillable mug away. I almost always drink my morning coffee on the way to the parks.

I drink my coffee on the way to the parks. Once, it is gone, I just rinse out the mug and store it in my bag. It really isn't a problem having it with me during the day. Then again, we still have a stroller to store stuff.
