Seatbacks in Fantasmic (think about it. You get yelled at if you walk up the seats to exit, seatbacks would eliminate that and also allow people with bad backs to, you know, actually sit down for the 60-90 minutes tehy have to wait for the show)

Love all the ideas so far! We would definitely eat at a Cajun place at POFQ! Don't know if it's doable in 6 months, but I'd fit in another country between Germany and China, maybe Australia? I know its a continent, but still, I think it would work.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Also, seatbacks for FOTLK and the Beauty and the Best show, too! (If I remember correctly they were all bleachers.)
We saw all 3 of those on our last trip a few weeks ago. I was 30 weeks pregnant and my back was killing me! Horrible, horrible. I really feel like I didn't enjoy the shows as much as I could have because I couldn't get comfortable.

The other ideas are all pretty great, too, especially a character meal with Toy Story characters and the PATF meal...that would be awesome. LOL

I agree with the internet! Get with it already Disney!

I think a Pixar character meal would be great... completely Pixar themed restaurant... Monsters Inc., Toy Story, Bug's Life, Up, Incredibles, Cars... that would be awesome!

I would also move Buzz Lightyear over to HS where it would make a lot more sense being near TSM.

I would plant Photopass people in the restaurants as well and INCLUDE the picture that you get taken before your meal on your photopass... $29.95 for an 8x10, REALLY? Come on...

I would also design one hotel that does not have the STANDARD Disney hotel room sizes and setups. It seems like every one is the same (unless you get a suite) but all they do is change the wallpaper, bedding, flooring, etc. Make ONE hotel that has rooms a little different. Do away with the double beds... these are just too small for 2 people!

Do away with the finger print thing. What's the point of that anyways? Half of the parks we went to told us to just skip the finger print thing. ????

OK, if I were in charge, the very first thing I would do would be to tear down the whole Stitch ride (not just try and change it, but just tear it right down).

I would then start work on a high-tech meet and greet area. I would use about 4 different characters as the central figures. I would use some of these:

Lilo and Stitch
Wall-E, and his robot girlfriend
Monsters Inc characters (since they already are next door)

What I would do is have 4 separate chambers where the characters would be, but instead of just normal rooms, I would have rooms with a computer background that could be changed in just a second with a scene representing that character (a bedroom, the factory, or the doors for example for the Monsters Inc characters) that each guest can pick for their picture. That way there is a possibility of about 12 different scenes that each guest could theoretically choose from. This would be a great way to make them want to come back over and over. It would be a cool alternative for younger guests to keep them occupied while their older siblings are riding Space Mountain, and best of all, it really wouldn't cost that much.

I think this would be a much better use of the space rather than what is there now (that dreaded Stitch ride).

1) Rebuild/re-theme Tom Sawyer's Island into Pirate's Island as it has been done in Disneyland. I think it turned out seriously cool in CA.

2) Same as a PP regarding Tiana's restaurant at Port Orleans. Also a few subtle Princess and the Frog themeing effects scattered around the resort. NO silly Royal Princess rooms.

3) Add gratuities and appetizers back into the DDP.

4) Get a sponser for and get a new attraction up and running in the Wonders of Life building - OR re-install Horizons and/or World of Motion into that building and re-open one of them using that space.

5) Return Imagination and Figment to the original ride, maybe plus it up a bit with today's technological advances, but stay true to the original ride.

6) Get rid of the evil of Stitch's Escape in Tomorrowland. I don't care what you put there, for pete's sake ANTHING would be an improvement.

7) Plus up the OUTSIDE of Carousel of Progress. Make it more permanent looking, more appealing.

8) Rebuild/reopen Mickey and Minnie's houses, Donald's boat, etc just as they were in Toontown over at DHS. That was such a neat place for kids to explore and there was no need to destroy it. It really would fit well into the "old Hollywood" theming at DHS.

9) Finally, my last item on my wish list appears to be coming true already. Say BUH-BYE ZaZu and Iago!! The Tiki Birds will be getting some of their dignity back! HIP-HIP-HOORAY!!

ETA: Yeah, I know... MORE than 6 months... but maybe I would hire an ARMY of workers to get it done... or maybe I am just dreaming here... LOL

This is easysomething that we talk about every trip:

BUILD A STAR WARS RESTAURANT!!!! in DHS.

Theme it like the cantina and you can have a "band" that would play. Character interaction would be great and a big added plus for older kids who have moved beyond Pooh and Princesses. The places to eat at DHS are so lackluster I think a SW themed restaurant would be awesome!

That WOULD be awesome - I would totally eat there.

I can imagine strange glowing cocktails (with the glow-cube ice cubes etc), and weird aquariums along the walls with animatronics in them of the frog-like critters that Jabba the Hutt likes to scoop out and munch on. :lmao:

Question is, what kind of food would the restaurant serve? I would think you would just serve regular food and give it funny names... i.e. BBQ ribs would become Bantha Ribs, etc

Simple, it could be accomplished in just a few days. Get rid of the Evening Extra Magic Hours and bring back E Ride Nights.

yes!!!!!
Seriously I think they could get a regular sit down as well as a counter service (serving Vader's Taters, LOL)

Wow what a great thread and some really awesome ideas!! I like the idea of a restaurant at POFQ and also the idea somebody had about a Pixar themed character dining.. that would be really cool too! Heres a few of mine:

1.) Bring Oswald back into the parks!! Permanently! Atleast for a while.

2.) Give passholders access to EMH

3.) More adult themed bars/clubs in DTD(or just simply bring back PI:thumbsup2)

4.) I havent seen it, but I've heard the World of Colors show at Disneyland is really awesome, they should try it out at WDW, maybe at HS??

5.) I know this is far fretched, but wouldnt it be cool if some bigger bands were to play at the summer concert series? Bands like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, etc... probably would be hard to book them, but hey, its Disney!!! they could figure out a way

So here is my idea.

I would build a sit down restaurant at Port Orleans French Quarter called Tiana's Place (princess and the frog) It would feature Cajun and Creole food with live Jazz at night. Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and Dr. Facilier AKA the Shadowman would be featured at a character breakfast and lunch. It would give quests staying at other resorts a reason to visit this little Jewel of a place.

I don't think it's groundbreaking or anything, but I would LOVE a "boyish" character meal like with the characters of Cars, Toy Story, etc. (My daughter was all about Toy Story when she was younger, too, and would have opted to go to something like that before a princess meal.) Disney has really left a gap.

How about a Pirates meal at The Caribbean Beach resort?

I really think some of the ideas that have already been posted have been BRILLIANT!

Adults-only EMHs once a month? Brilliant!
Cajun restaurant featuring PATF? Brilliant!
I even think the vegetarian restaurant sounds something like I would try even though I'm not a vegetarian!
(Fixing the Yeti would be brilliant, too, but I don't see that happening ever. :rotfl:)

I like your idea! Not all little girls are interested in princesses, and of course most little boys aren't. Something more neutral would be good for someone like me, with boy/girl twins.

Ok here we go:

1. begin a "quiet" deconstruction of the BLT in DHS. Once that is complete, build a Pixarland or Star Warsland in its place.

2. Begin a second monorail spur around Bay Lake, thereby allowing a second chain of deluxe resorts around the lake (very $$$ but I think worth it)

3. Like a PP (or PPs since I haven't read the whole thing yet) the yeti needs to be fixed.

4. Expansion of a Beastly Kingdom or Australia to AK.

5. Fastpass and/or reserve seating capabilities for Fantasmic!

6. Another country to Epcot.

7. A tickerish thing for bus stops, so you know approximately when the buses will arrive (this is another posters idea from another thread so sorry that I copied you.)

8. Do something like a weather pavillion to Wonders of Life.

thats about all I can think of. Sorry if I reposted an idea, I haven't read the whole thread yet.

Epcot:
Turn the Odyssey into a cabana area along the windows. Private areas available for daily rentals, with A/C, view of the park, a couch, TV, fridge, takeout from any Epcot restaurant... Medium expense.

Make the wonders of life the "wonders of Disney" or something like that. Simple, not exciting or expensive, but an immersive Disney history experience. This would be semi-temporary in case a sponsor comes along...Low to Medium expense.

HS:
Add another area like the NY street scene but make it more functional, with restaurants, services, etc. Think world showcase, but instead of different countries, different movie sets (or city scenes). These areas could be tied to Disney properties, like a woody's roundup set, or a star wars set. They could have their own version of a christmas celebration, like the osborne lights but appropriate to the set...High Expense

MK:
Complete the princesses areas...High Expense, but already budgeted

AK:
Build in more transportation options through and around the park, like an expansion of the railroad that goes to rafiki's planet watch, to go all the way around the park and maybe through the safari. Or consider a monorail that loops the park...High Expense.

I would re-do Journey into Imagination and bring back Dreamfinder.
I would also like to see a Character themed meal for boys. Toy Story would be a great idea.

Magic Kingdom:
I think there needs to be a Tortuga Tavern Pirate Character Meal. Seriously.
The girls have tons of opportunities to eat with the princesses, get the pirates together and have a rousing time in the tavern! Have sword play lessons, sing a longs, meet and greets. It practically writes itself. Not to mention you have a ton of guests who are always wanting to meet Captain Jack. Here's their chance. It pays for itself in months.

Someone mentioned this the other day, but there needs to be a Legend of Sleepy Hollow attraction in Liberty Square.

Epcot:
Journey Into Imagination, overhaul it fix it. Get John Lassetter and his team on it and figure a way to make it work again. Honestly, this is Disney and they can't figure out an attraction called "Imagination"? Somethings wrong there.

Wonders of Life Pavilion. I'm thinking redo this and work around something to do with Tron and how computer technology/programs are evolving. You could really get some cool attractions in there about real time tech, and heck Steve Jobs sits on the board now shouldn't he have some insight into this area?

Disney Hollywood Studios:
For goodness sake, get more Pixar attractions and expand the Star Tours areas. These are two of the biggest draws aside from Sunset Blvd. Take out BLT and really do it right with Cars Speedway, a Monsters Inc. coaster, Remy restaurant (nice restaurant to offset the lines at Brown Derby and Mama Melrose's), include Sci Fi Dine In into the Cars area as Flo's Drive In., Include the Incredibles in a 3D movie/ride experience (Spiderman in IOA) or guest encounter ala Crush.

Animal Kingdom:
Fix The Darn YETI!

Overall, improve the quality of the food and lessen the sodium content. Buy from organic produce growers. Increase the amount of the salaries of front line workers (shocker) because they are the ones who actually encounter your guests and help them.

A little more than 6 months worth of work. But, that would be my aim.

can we put you in charge of DHS bc I really want those ideas put in?
