Can more than one credit card be linked to a room and dining plan?

My sister is traveling with us to VWL, and we all have the dining plan. Will she be able to charge her tips from dining to her credit card a well as room charges?

Unfortunately only one CC can be linked to the room for the KTTW cards, she will need to carry another card to charger her tip to.

I don't know how responsible your sister is but you could let her charge to your room, get a statement before you leave, and then get reimbursed by her (there aint NO WAY i'd let either of my siblings do this I'd never see that money!).

or she can use disney gift cards if she would rather carry that than a credit card for tips.

Yup only one credit card if you are all in the same room.

Just tell her to carry around some 5's and 1's might make it easier.

This is now possible with the new LILO system. Just request it at checkin. If the CM does not know how to do it ask for someone that does.

1) You have ALWAYS been able to have different CC for different keys.
2) ALWAYS.
3) It was called the "SHARE" option.
4) The new system can also apply different CC to different people.
5) The process is different, but the result is the same.

how I wish you had been checking me in my last trip... i had to give up my insistence on my last trip as I was too tired from traveling to fight (fight is a strong word lol) the CM at the desk any more to have the share setup. lol

I wonder if it is easier to get a CM at check-in who is familar with the "share option" if staying at one of the "Convention Resorts" CR, CSR, YC for example as it seems they would run into guests shareing a room and requesting the option?

No, it is not. My sister and I stayed in at BCV in December and they totally messed up the billing. I paid for my part of the dining plan with a gift card and she paid for her part with her credit card. I then set-up room charing with my credit card. I specifically asked them if her credit card was on file because I didn't want things charged to her credit card. They said no everything was alright. Well I don't know how they did it but everything somehow got charged back to her card. It was a major PITA to get it cleaned up.

With this experience plus other instances when I have tried to put cash down as a balance I have unfortuately come to the conclusion that most front desk CM's useless when it comes to these types of transactions. I feel bad for using that term but I know of no other. Part of me does not blame them. Most of the blame I feel lies with Disney for poor training. I have found it incredibly frustraighting. Going forward, I realize that I have to keep it simple for them. It is unfortunate that as a guest I am the one who has to adapt when there is really no reason. It is just not worth it to stand there, holding up the line, while it takes them forever to figure it out (and sometimes, in the end, it gets messed up anyway).

I agree it is a training issue but depending on operations, security policies , and upper management I know for working in retail for many many years, while cross training of employees is important , there is also the fact that not all employees are trained about every aspect normally with just one or two who end up learning "everything" too much knowledge can be dangerous in the hands of some employees. So it seems to me that Disney is no exception therefore only training certain CM's to handle certain things.

An inconvience for guests but also a security measure for the guests too.

Maybe I will try having two cc added to our KTTW cards when DH and I visit just to see what happens since him and I do have separate accounts, might be interesting

It has been reported that with the new computer, this can now be done.

I suspect as many people said previously, it becomes more of a training issue and less of a can/cannot do.
