Anyone else upgrading resort with the new FD offer?

We are. We are upgrading to CBR on Monday. In the long run the cost to upgrade is around 420.00 for 10 days. That is after I deduct cost for the fridge.

We were thinking of going back to POFQ but going with the pool at CBR for the girls.

So where are you upgrading to?

Where did you book originally?...we liked the CBR and POR,...never did the CSR, probably staying there. We were gonna upgrade to BWV or BCV with BB 40% off but the reviews of the rooms are not that good at all on TA. I am not a snob but sounds like there are some real issues.... You don't mind shabby but not for those prices...

This makes some sense when going from a value to a moderate, but from a moderate to a Deluxe seems like a really big difference. I've run some numbers and the free dining still doesn't make the deluxe attainable for us. I wish!

We have stayed at pop the last 2 years. One year it was a bonus trip since we had already been that year. So we did a FD trip. Then last year we figure to keep cost down. But the room with the 4 of us for 10 days get cramped and we missed our mods last year.

I agree moderate to Deluxe even with Fd usually never is a good deal. Better off with a room discount in that case.

I just called to upgrade ahead of the FD on Monday. There was absolutely nothing available in the mods including the cabins. I think it has to do with the fact we are booked under kids stay and play deal. It's hard to believe everything is booked. We are going the last of August/first week of Sept and I thought that was supposed to be a less busy time

It is definitely because of the kids play free deal. They only have a certain number of rooms for those deals. If you were booking rack rates you'd get a room. So all is not lost. Just call Monday for free dining. They'll remove the Kids play free deal from your reservation and add free dining.
