I had carpal tunnel surgery about 6 or 8 years ago, and it was a workers comp claim. I got paid time off, and afterwards it was decided that I had 90% loss/remaining damage, and they sent me a check for just over $10,000. I was surprised because I didn't know I was getting any kind of money at all.
Have you received a workers compensation settlement after Carpal Tunnel Surgery?
If so, do you mind saying how much you received?
Many settlements also include the employee resigning their position. the reasoning is, if you can't do the job you were hired to do then the company does not have a position for you.
Sounds cheaper then no longer having a need for a persons position... AKA layoff
