I think we totally need a place for December brides to chat it up. The parks are totally *transformed* this time of year and we should give each other heads up about stuff we know/discover that may be helpful for wedding/honeymoon planning

For Example - we can chat about:
  1. Best Romantic Holiday/Winter Picture Spots
  2. Holiday/Winter themed wedding ideas
  3. Disney holiday events and how to incorporate them into your wedding

Ok - GO! :cutie:

Ooh-fun thread! I am a December bride (Swan & Dolphin). We are doing a full wedding and ballroom reception. Our wedding theme will be vintage WDW with a hint of winter. We are mixing in snowflakes, silver, and winter flowers.

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for our honeymoon. The WL is supposed to be amazing in theming during the holidays:cool1: I actually just emailed concierge to find out about the special hotel happenings on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Apparently there will be Santa meet & greets, character meet & greets at the resort (and they will be wearing their winter attire!), caroling, and Christmas cookies in concierge! Our wedding will take place after MVMCPs are over, but I heard that after the parties are over, they open up the party fun in MK every night until Christmas!! Holiday Wishes, holiday parades, etc... no extra charge in the parks!:goodvibes

We are planning to having Christmas Eve dinner at the Hoop de Doo Revue and Christmas Day dinner at the California Grill!! :goodvibes

Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's December plans!!:lovestruc

OoooOooo~ I didn't know that Wilderness Lodge was going to be all fancified! Love your color and vintage theme - uber classy!

We're going charcoal gray -- but I may change my mind! hahahaha

Thank you violentmesses for starting this thread!!! :worship: I am in! We are going to get married on December 12th at Disney and I hope to find this thread helpful! I will also pass along any info that I find out along the way. Excited about the months ahead! :dance3:

Yay for December brides!! We are getting married December 10. We also just got confirmed for our MK shoot on the 11th:banana:! I wanted to get married around Christmas time bc the parks and hotels will be already decorated, so at least we don't have to do too much! I know in the outside of the WP, they plant poinsettias and especially by picture point. We did our e-pics around there and it was so beautiful! Also, the gingerbread houses are up by November and it makes the hotels smell so sweet and they are just so much fun to look at. They are in all of the Deluxe resorts.

Thank you for posting this thread! I can't believe we are less than 7 months away for December weddings!!!

I am so excited to share our December wedding date! I am also getting married on December 10th :) We are getting married at the Yacht Club Gazebo. What are your wedding plans? December will be here before we all know it :)

Thank you as well violentmesses for starting this thread!

We have completed all of our planning sessions so I am ready to start working on invitations!

We are getting married at the WP at 5 and reception at GF! Yay for another December 10th bride!!!:cool1: We just had our planning session yesterday and it was so amazing!! I can't wait to get our budget and see how bad the damage was:lmao:. Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

I just remembered one more holiday related thing I am doing on our honeymoon and I wanted to share!!

I am going to surprise my DF with a Christmas tree for our honeymoon suite!! :cool1: I originally looked into Disney Floral for this, but they were way too expensive for their Christmas trees. I ended up finding a really nice woman online who makes decorated Christmas trees and hand-delivers them to your Disney resort (she is from the Orlando area). Her trees were much cheaper than going through Disney Floral and they look really cute as well. Since we will be in WDW for Christmas, I think my DF is going to love it!! :goodvibes

I am so with you! I can't wait to see the "damage." We are doing a 12 noon ceremony at the Yacht Club Gazebo followed by a reception at Ariel's and then the Illuminations Dessert Party! Cake tasting was amazing!!! The florist got back to us real quick and made adjustments immediately! Have you picked an officiant yet?

Sure! Go to this website:

The Christmas trees are in her holiday section. Betsy is great to work with so far and she gets great reviews from other Disboard members. She puts together all different kinds of gift baskets and gifts and she will work with you to customize. She offered fantastic ideas to me on customizations to add to the Christmas tree I ordered for this December!:goodvibes

I am actually having my grandpa be our officiant. He is taking classes on becoming a notary and I am writing the ceremony for him. I wanted it to be personal and so I asked him if he would be willing to be our officiant and he said he would love to do it:)

Yay!!! For December Brides. We are getting married December 1, 2011 at the Wedding Pavilion and having the reception at the GF. We are so excited!!! Disney is our favorite place to go and Christmas time is our favorite time of year...so best of both worlds!!! Good luck to all you ladies!!
