Hey guys,

We've got 1 week booked, looking at doing a disney park or two, with Universal as well, but we wanna do a beach, get some drinks and just lay there like a corona commercial.

Have any of you been to Playalinda beach or New Symnra Beach or Cocoa beach? I'm renting a car, so i'll be able to drive there. I wanna see playalinda and New Symnra on two seperate days, but you let me know, what I should do for fun.

Also where is the nightlife? Park Avenue? OR downtown disney?

I live on the Space Coast ( Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Playalinda area) and I recommend those over New Smyrna because NS is known for sharks. lol. It's true. Cocoa Beach has a pier and a good atmosphere while being super chill at the same time. The waves are big so you'll see tons of surfers. This does however make it less ideal for swimming, but if you guys are just hanging, GO FOR IT. Cocoa Beach is also the closest. Just know that 528 is a toll road and will cost you about 4 bucks each way. Playalinda is less crowded and I think represents florida in a less touristy way. Jetty Park in port Canaveral is nice for swimming and you can see the cruises take off like right in front of you.

As for nightlife, I think City Walk at Universal is a bit better than Downtown Disney, but then again, just do both. Also in the real Downtown Orlando area there are lots of clubs and stuff that are legit. You can also try Blue Martini at the Mall at Millenia, and hit two birds with one stone. That mall is awesome.

a few things right around disney that my girlfriend and i do-

go to the orlando ale house and get an order of chicken nachos to share

wishes on the beach at the Polynesian resort (park in the mk lot, take the tram to the ttc, and walk to the poly)

walk around downtown disney at night and get ice cream at Ghirardelli.

(keep in mind we are college aged kids who dont drink/party and are making minimum wage...)
