I had In-N-Out once, it was good, but I prefer Five Guys.

I saw a blurb recently on an LA news station. Apparently, Five Guys is "invading" California and opening up about 200 places around the state. They compared the two places. We just had one open up in our area, but I haven't been over there to try it yet.

I'm not a big fan of In-N-Out. I think they're OK, but nothing to write home about. OTOH, we tried Five Guys at Dulles airport in Washington DC during an east coast trip. I thought they were far and away better. And the prices at that one, considering it was an airport, were amazingly good.

I hope Five Guys opens a franchise around here.

I agree G B... I like in and out too , however.... have tasted better burgers at different restaurants too. Now I make really good hamburgers, it is to the point that I would like to open a place like in and out, only my place would be far superior. And I would offer onion rings too. I also bake a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies, so I would see how well they might sell too. The key for very good c c cookies in my opinion is in the ingredients: fresh butter, milk, good quality at that, quality sugar, brown sugar, real vanilla flavoring, and I prefer Guittard Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips. And fresh natural eggs, none of those that come from chickens that are treated with anti-biotics, not if I can help it. That is one of the nice things about Sonoma County, we really do have happy cows, fresh milk, and healthy freshly collected natural eggs. Taste the difference!

It behooves me to say it, but maybe to you locals IN-N-OUT burger is just ok, but to us who live in the Great White North, we're stuck with Mcdonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, and A&W. Their burgers are OK, and the only remotely decent one the bunch for fast food is A&W. To get a remotely decent TS burger you have to go to White Spot (and lately their food has gone downhill), or attempt to find a Fat Boys, somewhere in the lower mainland. So for us IN-N-OUT is heavenly to us Canadians, and is the first place we go to when we get close to DL. I hate to say it, but you guys make much better burgers than we do, and I wish our CDN fast food places learned a few tricks from your burger joints.

Hm.... as Gisele is scratching her chin, no it is not whiskers, but rather from thinking about possibly opening up a new hamburger restaurant in Canada. And BELLEDOZER and family would be my first guests.

I also feel that Whataburger is overated. My husband thinks they are delicious. We ate there several times when we were in Texas last summer. I was getting tired of them. Now, what I would give for a Cracker Barrel......Yumm.........
