We stayed at our own Hotel Hell over the weekend and I thought of you guys! :rotfl2:

HAHA I just got done uploading the pictures for AK and then looked at Hotel Hell and I still can't believe we stayed there.. hit me one f/b I'm looking forward to hearing about your families experience about it!

We decided to have one last night at the pool to swim when we got back from DHS. I remember being in the lazy river that last time thinking, I can't believe this is half over. Then there was that feeling of how do I slow down time to make it keep lasting. After about 2 hours in the water, we made our way to our room to begin to pack. The plan is to be up by 7:30 and pack the car and be at AK by rope drop so we can head to the Cape [Canaveral] by about 3pm and meet up with some fellow Dissers on the Disney Cruise we were taking. That was the plan.:rotfl2:

I woke up to a blaring alarm in my ear thinking, "WHY am I punishing myself like this on a vacation that I'm supposed to be relaxing?" Anywho, I got the wife up and we both found our little man sleeping.

We woke him up and began to pack promptly at 8:15. None of us were moving that fast. There was a lot of apprehension in the air. Not about the Animal Kingdom, but the fact we both don't know how we would act when we were on the boat. Let's face it, once you are on, you're not going to get off.

My wife and I began to focus on our tasks of taking all the luggage, the souverniers we got from the the parks, the candy from Mnsshp (ten pounds it seemed), and finally some last minute drinks we still had in our fridge, then hauled all of it to the van. Before we knew it, we were off to AK.

When we got there something blurry was in the view but a sign of things to come. :)

We got there about 9:15 and then hit world's LARGEST ENTRY LINE EVER!!! It took almost 45 minutes to get through security. But we were here, and soon the tree of life was in our view.

We started to make our way to the Lion King but side tracked by Lilo and Stich. It was time for more pictures and signatures. As per usual, Adam would pick the color and then I would hold the pillow case for the characters.
DSCN3704.jpg

THIS TIME THOUGH, we were in Stich's World. He took the pen that Adam gave him and while Lilo was signing, he decided to decorate Lilo with his pen. When Lilo noticed, he blammed... well the pictures are worth 1000 words

This went on for a few minutes. Then we all took pictures. Notice where Stich is "resting."

We continued our way to the Lion King. I thought Adam would like it but it was just ok to him. As we exited, we would run into Chip and Dale. You know the drill by now lol...

Afterwards he saw Thumper, Ms Bunny, briar Bear and Rabbit. However, they needed an extened rest and so we couldn't get pictures or signatures... YET. We made our way over to Dino Land and rode DinosaurrrrrrrrrrrRRrrrRRrRRr. For some reason, I remember that ride way different. WE figured we could jump line for the ride that spins you around since it had a 20 minute wait. WRONG!
You know those times where you get into a ride, and you wonder the wait time has to be wrong?!!?! It was. To make matters worse, Adam was no telling me about how bad he needed to go to the bathroom! "We are almost to the end," I told him. The one thing about my kid is he can turn charm on and off like a switch. Does this picture look like a kid that is about to go nuts in line?

Since it was my last day at the parks (sorta), I really wanted to slow down and just take notice of the small things like Everest in its "picture spots."

Its this little attention to detail that was winning me over as a Non-Disney guy to a Disney guy. We would go in to the Nemo Musical and would leave early. I have learned now that my son is not much into the musicals. After a stop at Everest, we made our way ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way back to Camp Mickey. My poor wife's feet really started to hurt so she would just send me down there with him to get the pictures and autographs.

Our day was nearly over. The park was just becoming more and more crowded. We all agreed we wanted to go where the train was for conservation area. May be with a little luck we might be able to ride the safari as well. On our way there I saw a ... well again the pictures says it all. Its time for him to work!! haha:thumbsup2

There was a little thing that we do everytime we come here (all 2 times). On the ride up to the conservation area or on the way back, I get my wife and, now this time, son to act like they are exhausted on a long trip on a train. Adam couldn't stop laughing so my wife had to show him the way to look.

Once up at the Conservation Station, I went inside and my wife and son went to check on the goats. After about 15 minutes they came inside to find Jimminie Cricket, Pochatas, and Rifiki.

I felt bad for Pochatas because no one was in her line or even wanted to talk to her. So Adam just talked to her about whatever until the line for Rafiki went down. When we finished, we talked to Pochatas a little more and then made our way back to the train for the ride back. THIS TIME, I think Adam got the picture right!

It was now nearly, 4:50pm and there was a little line on the safari. We had to be one of the last ones on, because we stopped ALOT saw tons of animals. The family was all thankful that there was no walking, but you could tell on the faces of everyone. It was time to leave WDW and start our next adventure out to sea. I don't have picture really to prove it because that's how Zombifide we all looked and felt. After we got off a very memorable ride, we made the long journey back to front of the park. We got into our mini van and made our way to Cape Canaveral. Little did we know what we were in store for was a hotel that we will never forget.

I will link here for the cruise report should anyone here want to read it. Also we are coming back to the MK after the cruise and what happened at the end of our trip was truly amazing in a very little but cool sort of way.

Wow! You guys know how to pack a day! What time did you actually leave for the ship? 4:50 seems late.

The ship was the following day. But we left for the cape around 5:15.

I just got done writing the first part of the next chapter in the cruise boards. BUT when I went to edit one thing instead of publish... I lost the entire thing! I will write it up tonight because I have to leave for work.

Wow what a great day at DAK! We've hit the big rope drop entry mad pack of horrors too! Seems to be especially bad at that park....I just realized we have been in the rope drop pack at all 4 parks and for chronically-late-night-people-arrivers....I'm impressed with myself! :lmao:

But back you your TR....LOL...Great character interaction, love the Lilo and Stitch, great pic of Adam "telling" on Stitch :rotfl2: Adorable!

What an awesome start to your vacation in WDW! Ready for the CRUISE (oh, and Hotel Hell, of course!) :rotfl2:

Congratulations on your drops! Hotel hell is in the can! So read and wonder what the hell was I thinking?!

Yay! You're back!
LOL I am and I have got the cruise portion started!!! I hope you enjoy.

The parks and the cruise are SO completely different experiences. I love them for different reasons. Ladies if you have trouble getting your man to a WDW, I encourage you to check out a DCL vacation. My wife has a lot of men that come to her gym to work out and go to Florida to vacation at WDW only to come back and say it was fun but NOT relaxing. In my opinion, DCL offers enough of both. Either way, the first post is up!

Cash only Hell

Thanks! What I really like about your trip report is that you are not.. "Been there, done that" kind of writer. We too work hard for our money, and love to see people enjoying the fruits of their labor!

I appreciate the compliment. Hope you enjoy the rest.

I saw that you are a Wyndham owner now on TUGG. (check the other board out too for W owners they will help you max out your TS) About a year ago we almost bought in, but were out bid at last minute. Now, I can't get my wife to jump in and try it again. lol. One day!

Unfortunately, we travel a lot. We moved to Texas so we could keep our jobs; however, all our family is back on the east coast. Every family event or holiday, we are traveling, so the timeshare makes sense for us. DH doesn't want to use it in place of our Disney trip and the free dining makes it actually more affordable to stay on Disny property. I hope you liked Bonnet Creek!

Whew! I caught up on here, now I need to go over and read the cruise part and then maybe try to catch up with Jen and Ellen... I am so ready for a new computer after the cruise! 215 more days!!!! Great updates and I'm off to the cruise TR to read more. I'm thinking it might just be faster and easier to come visit and see Amy's scrap book. :lmao:
