What to see at Kennedy - only there for four hours

Any recommendations of what would be your top choices of things to see on a very short trip to Kennedy Space Center?

We'll only be there for about four hours. I've seen many people post that they did two full days and still didn't be see everything they wanted to see.

We'll be fine with just seeing a few things, but I'm curious about any suggestions about what those few things should be.. We're mostly going for DS (15).

Well, there's the main visitor center and then there's the bus tour which takes you to a couple other stops that you can tour (it costs extra.) Then there's the Astronaut Hall of Fame (I think that's what it's called) which we've never made it to.

Check out the website and see how much there is to do at the main visitor center. I think there's a couple of movies there. I know the food is terrible there so try to eat elsewhere. They do say to allow two hours for the bus tour so you'd have time for that if you planned accordingly. We love the tour and think it's the best part of the day.

Thanks. We'll plan on the bus tour and spend the balance of the time in the visitor's center. We've already see the Hubble IMAX/Omnimax movie at our local science center, so can probably do that.

It's been eight years since we've been, so we're really looking forward to this even though our time is limited. We go next Wednesday. With this being a busy spring break week, I bet it will be crowded. Hopefully we'll have a good day even with the crowds.

Either it was different 2 years ago when we went or I'm confused. We did do a remote location visit via bus, but not really a bus tour. It was not any additional, but took you out to three different areas - one being a shuttle viewing area - where you'd get off, tour at your own pace and then get back onto a bus for the next stop. Although it was very good, it took the better part of a day.

For 4 hours with a teen I would definately hit the space ride (although it's not that different from mission space in epcot - still fun) and the astronaut talk. They were the top 2 for us - including our teenager.

Have fun!

DArn right that was worst food that I have had in my life. I am still wondering how h@ll can mess up a salad. I could not wait to All star sports resorts food court. I did not know what do. I had plans eat House of Blues that night. I was on my son boy scout troop bus trip. So I did not have choice but eat space center. I felt bad for my kids we all the snacks for the week so hungrily.

I think 4 hours is plenty of time see Kennedy Space Center. The kids and I was bored at the space center and never want go back

I think it is about $90-$100 but you can do the full tour of the Space Centre and then also have lunch with an Astronaut? You get to do all the tours avaiable and visit the different parts of the centre?

We are going for the first time next month. If you go on their website, under "Visit Us" they have a "Plan your vacation" option. I found this interactive tool really helpful in figuring out the attractions we want to try. It helps you select by age group as well. It will give you recommended and other options and when you click on them, it gives you the description of that attraction.:goodvibes
