Welcome everyone! We were Sooooo glad to finally get in the air. When we landed the whole plane clapped! I am working on my photopass pictures, and I'm just about done editing my own photos, so I'm hoping to get another update early this week. Can't do it today because, I must watch many hours of superbowl pre-game on TV, and cheer for my.......

We, or should I say, I was up at 5am. I had set the alarm, but I hadnt slept that well. Combination of different bed and just being at Disney! I was supposed to wake Samantha up at5:30am. She informed me that it was going to take her an hour and a half to be ready to go Teenagers!
We had 8:00am ADRs at the Tusker House. I wanted to be at the bus stop just before 7.We made it about 10 minutes to spare, but we ended up waiting about 25 mins! I was getting nervous. We were the only ones waiting for the Animal Kingdom bus.
Sam was wondering why she couldnt have slept a little longer & Kadence just want to get where we were going!
Finally the bus came and we were on the way
After a quick stop at POFQ, we got to AK at7:40. As we walked up to the gates, there was a line formed for breakfast. I found out that it didnt matter when your ADR was; you werent getting in until just before 8am. We had to give our name at the gates to confirm our ADR and after we got in the park there were cast members to point you in the right direction. My original plan was to stop along the way and get our pictures taken by the photo pass, but there wasnt time and also there wasnt one photo pass person along the way.
We were to check-in at the counter and then get in line to get our picture taken with Donald Duck. Donald did not do autographs. I had them take one with our camera, as we were not planning on buying it. But, it turned out so nice we caved!
This one is mine, as my photo pass pictures/book is still a work in progress
We were seating right after our photo, and at the very first table on the characters route! Our server was very nice, asking us where we were from, letting us know we had about 10 minutes before the characters would start coming around so wed have plenty of time to fill our plates and get something to eat. I dont think our glasses were ever empty.
Mickey was first! Kadence was so happy, first autograph of the trip, and it was the Big Guy!
Daisy was next .
Then Goofy,
Samantha let me know that she wasnt going to get autographs or pictures with the characters. I was disappointed, but its her choice. Later in the trip, the characters got even!
Our food was very good; I really liked the potatoes, and the cheese blintzes. The juice was very good as well; the named of it is escaping me right now.
The character parade around the restaurant started soon, but Kadence ( little stinker) wasnt in the mood to take apart as she just tipped the table a bit by leaning on it and dumped a glass of water over, after being told to not lean on the table for it was a bit tippy.
Soon, we were done and stuffed. I seen that we had about 10 minutes before the park was scheduled to open, so I thought we go see if we could get our pictures taken by photo pass, but as we exited the restaurant and headed back toward the Tree of Life, but this is what was headed our way! Rope Drop!
We quickly made the decision to not fight the crowd and stay in front of them. As they dropped the rope foe everyone, we made our way to the Kilimanjaro Safaris. We got on the first truck! The animals were really active. Some wandering in our paths, causing us to stop and wait for them to move.
This guy wasnt in any hurry. He was just munching on grass and looking at us like we were in his way.

After our Safari, we wandered down the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. Kadence’s teacher had asked if Kadence could keep a simple journal, with pictures, of all the learning experiences to share with the class. I figured this was as education as you could get.
She wasn't to sure about the Hippo skull.
Then on to the Wildlife Express to the Conservation Station,
There were activities for children along the way,
Once there
We ran into Jiminy Cricket
And Rafiki
This was also a shopping moment for Kadence. She got the cutest baby Dumbo, sooo cute!
Next; Samantha gets more camera time than she wanted!!!

The story of your teenage daughter needing 2 hours to get ready had me
as I used to take just as long. I have grown out of it now and think my mum feels better for it!
Thanks for the review of Tusker House as we are planning on eating there on our trip - can't wait to have Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast!

I have to say I think I might finally be coming down from my Packers high now. I swear Monday I was running on adrenaline because I hardly got any sleep I was so pumped! LOL.
Breakfast looked good. Bummer Samantha didn't want pictures with the characters.
