A Dream is a Wish my Visa Makes.... stories & pictures from shopping & laughing

I can't wait to read more, loving your TR already. I couldn't not click for a read when I spotted the title :)
The photos are wonderful as is the gorgeous office :lovestruc and I love the idea of a pink christmas, if it wasn't for my anti-pink fiance i'd have a pink christmas room.

I love the black and white with your dad looking over his shoulder. That picture turned out amazing!

Can't wait to hear more.

Dear DISFamily: Please forgive the lateness. Kris had been having those headaches and was scheduled for an MRI last week. After sitting on pins and needles and 4 Doctors later - he's fine. Thank God. Its just a tedious muscle in his right shoulder where his spine and neck meet (or some shenanigans) and he needs to take care of it. Now, in all my concern - there I am, trying to read in the lobby of the MRI unit inside Cape Cod Hospital in Falmouth... and out he comes

Technician: Youre all set, kept nice and still and we should have the results in 5 days or less
Kris: Can I see it?
Technician: Excuse me? See what?
Kris: My brain. The pictures you just took of my brain. Can I see 'em?
Technician: No. Sorry.... (I know, Miss Personality, right?)
Kris: Really? Even if theres no tumors or anything I cant see it?
Me: KRISTOPHER RICHARD! REALLY rightnow?!?!
Kris: C'maaaaaan
Technician: No.
Me: I already know he has a big head, you dont need to show me how big his brain is.
Kris: Its huge. Thats why I cant see it. If I did they'd probably have to call NASA and offer me a job since my brain is so big and powerful.
Technician: *giggling* Of course sir, its a very very big brain. Goodnight.

So - after all the stress, we did get the results and smarty pants McGee is fine. Hes still trying to find a loophole to view his brainscan.... im uploading pics to photobucket :) Big thanks to Heather for checking in on us. It was beyond expected and made me cry at the studio today. I am shocked and touched each day by the people that share their love and lives with me in this place. Thanks Walt ;)

I think you should just keep count of how many times I tell you I love your photos!! That one of your dad in the black and white with the castle is really great :goodvibes

It might just be me on Buzz...but my fingers feelings like they are going to fall off by the end and I hardly get any points :rotfl:

We really loved the dining plan too...I am trying to convince dbf to return next year for another trip, but we cant decide between Halloween time (possibly free dining again!) or early December :confused3

Thanks sweet girl! It truly never gets old, and it makes me bashful every time I hear it. I shoot to capture emotion and memories as much as anything else - so it absolutely makes my day to know that ive shared that with others. <3 For the record, Id shoot for early Dec for your trip - imagine all the twinkle lights and sweet romance of Main Street during Christmas. Did you see the special on HGTV? Behind the Magic, Decorating Disney World for Christmas? Gotta check it out, it was on this Monday and I think you can find it on demand.

Hi! I am enjoying your TR. Those are great pictures of the Magic Kingdom. Can't wait to read more!

Thank you! Im honored to have you along!

Hi Jessica,
I found your TR and dove right in! I love picture happy TR's, and this one does not disappoint thus far! :thumbsup2

Also, I am also a lover of pink. I always write and reply in pink!:cutie:

P.S. Very catchy title!

Thanks :lovestruc I have lots of fun things to share with you then. I made a pink Christmas tree! Ill post some pictures so you can see what it looks like and ill help you out with where I found stuff as well! Thanks for joining me! XO

Love the pics and love the PINK! I'm in!

Woohooo!! Same to you as well - we'll all be working to turn the disboards pink if we keep this up ;) Either way we can share some fun pink secrets!

I can't wait to read more! That Boston shirt your brother is wearing is awesome!

Isnt that fun? Front says "R's ah fah losah's" Classic Boston. Mom found it at the paper store actually in Hingham, MA. They have a bunch of hilarious sayings... :)

I am late, but I am here! I love your report, you describe Disney perfectly! And your photos capture all that magic and fun oozing all over the place down there!

Can't wait for more (pronounced without the 'r'... you know how it sounds)!

Hey Girl! Welcome back - youve had a busy few weeks. Im sad to see your TR end, but like a true addict - jumped right into your next PTR. SWEEEETT. Therefore you are an enabler and are feeding the addiction :rotfl: Keep me posted on all your fun ideas - and im serious about picking your brain about DVC sometime!

*peeks in*

hey lady...I have been SO busy at work and at home with the Thanksgiving Holiday and...

yeah, I know - excuses, excuses!

I am caught up and loving this so far! I do hope that Kris is alright and his doc appt went well.

I am going to start my TR soon...I promise.

Hit me up and let me know you're ok! :upsidedow

Omigoodness I missed you. You have lots of stories to tell from your TR that I want to hear! It is SO beyond good to hear from you  thanks for looking out for us and checking in. It kick started my attention back to my friends on here & not leaving people hanging. Im thinking we have a starbucks date in our near future? Ill send you a private message. WELCOME BACK!! XOXO

After a long DIS hiatus (due to lack of trip to plan and a little thing called college...), I have emerged and found your trip report. Love it! I love the pictures, and I can totally relate to how it feels waking up at WDW :)

Thanks for jumping in! Im flattered that you left the hiatus and decided to comment and not just lurk :cool2: since the only reason I do this is to connect with people who love it like me! I promise many more great pictures, and a few lame stories!! Glad to have you :yay:

I can't wait to read more, loving your TR already. I couldn't not click for a read when I spotted the title :)
The photos are wonderful as is the gorgeous office :lovestruc and I love the idea of a pink christmas, if it wasn't for my anti-pink fiance i'd have a pink christmas room.

You can live vicariously through mine, ill share as much of it as I can with you! :thumbsup2 and if nothing else, have a small pink tree or something for yourself in there- feed the addiction!! So glad to have you!

I love the black and white with your dad looking over his shoulder. That picture turned out amazing!

Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks so much - a little photoshop and some alternative focus and all of a sudden a plain picture of daddy-o has a little magic in it! Im so flattered you like it, Thank you

**Man, it is POURING here in MA. Any other Mass girls surviving the deluge or ready to build an Ark? Yikes!!**

So we're in Magic Kingdom - we've claimed our table @ Pinocchio's - eaten our first of one million chocolate cake cups (you know the ones...) and have decided to wander around for a few minutes - get in some last minute attractions - then head out to get to Boma for dinner. Just for fun Ive picked out a few more inconsequential MK pictures for your viewing pleasure - so enjoy these then ill get back to the story...

This one is a little blurry, my reaction time was too quick to grab the pic, and didnt change my settings :( so its not exactly winning any awards - but still a fun shot of Eric waiting to board Big Thundaaa'

I then tried (to no avail) to convince him to dress up like Sheriff Woody for Halloween...

Kris - Wait Up!

I had never stopped at the Train Station to appreciate this before:

Upstairs we go - and I catch myself in a reflection ;) since Im always behind the lens instead of in front of it!

Hi Allie!!

Hmm.... Candy....
IMG_8727.jpg

Inspires me to duck into the confectionery and take these! This first one is one of my favorites :mickeybar

Still drawn to reflection ;) Theres the activity on Main St. and the Balloons in his reflection. Seemed appropriate!

Ok- so we head off Main Street and take our water taxi back to the Wilderness to get ready for dinner.... at this point we realize two things 1) How the heck are we going to GET to dinner? 2) We have vastly underestimated our timing and we're going to be late.

So- in a gaggle of 6 (One Dad- blazing the trail, My brother and Husband slapping cow-bells on the way to the bus stop, and Mom, Allie & I fighting over one lip gloss like it was the last one on earth) we climb into the AK bus, do the dinner reservation shuffle, and make it to Animal Kingdom Lodge..... in the WRONG spot. All I heard was "Something Kidani Simba Jambo LittleRed POOAACHHAAS ...youre in the wrong place" So we hop in the van. Van-Man gives us a fantastic break down of the AKL and laughs at our antics. We are now 45 minutes late to dinner, and I realize I have no camera.

Commence Pouting :faint:

Regardless, dinner was fantastic. The food (as most of you know) is to DIE for, and we sat around as long as we wanted laughing and chatting. The drink refills kept coming and no one ever pressured us to move along and open the table. This was an A+ dining experience, and one we will definitely do again. We did a little more shopping on Main St. after dinner - then finally collapsed into bed at the Wilderness. We had a big day of hidden Mickeys on Typhoon Lagoon Tuesday!!!

You can live vicariously through mine, ill share as much of it as I can with you! :thumbsup2 and if nothing else, have a small pink tree or something for yourself in there- feed the addiction!! So glad to have you!

Thank you, i will :goodvibes can't wait to see more photos of the gorgeous office espcially all decorated for christmas.

Great update, your photos are so beautiful they make me want you to follow me around the parks on my next visit with your camera :rotfl:

Glad to hear everything is ok with Kris too and his headaches are nothing serious.

I love Boma too! It's one of my favorite restaurants on property. I've never had a bad meal there.

Next time I need to ride the train and go exploring a little bit...I have never seen that map of the Magic Kingdom before, that is really a cool find :thumbsup2

I am glad you guys all made it to dinner ok! We had lots of trouble with confusing transportation for dinner ADRs this past trip :rotfl: I think I was so tired by that point I couldn't find my way around

First off, I'm glad to hear that Kris checked out ok! That must be a huge relief! Tell him my DH had an MRI this fall and they gave him a CD of his brain scan to take home!

Great update! Fun photos! That train map IS really cool- where is that?

Sounds like lots of family enjoyment at the MK.

LOVE Boma!!! I think that is my favorite Disney restaurant. We had dinner there in July 2009 and last July. My only complaint is that they have too many offerings- I want to sample everything, and then end up rolling out of the restaurant. Breakfast there is great, too!

Hi Jessica~

Finally catching up here on DIS, been MIA some lately. Life gets in the way of DIS sometimes! :guilty:

Loving your updates! You have a way with words and pictures girl! :cutie:

So glad to her Kris is doing well and is okay! Scary!!

Hope you're staying warm, it's really been chilly here in town these last few days!! BRRR!!!

The Cricut arrived today!! Im just waiting on a Happily Ever After cartridge and ill post some pics of my projects! Excited to share them with you! Before I crack into the box (happy early XMas- looks like it will be mostly stockings around here since I cant wait to play with my big gift) I wanted to say thanks!

No big thanks needed - I missed you and I am happy that Kris' big NASA brain is good! :goodvibes

You're the best  Glad youre back. We need to make a Christmas Coffee Date!

Thank you, i will :goodvibes can't wait to see more photos of the gorgeous office espcially all decorated for christmas.

Glad to hear everything is ok with Kris too and his headaches are nothing serious.

 Thank you so much. If we're ever in WDW at the same time, you KNOW ill snap a few for you. If and when our paths cross, we'll have a little photoshoot of our own - Photopass has nothin' on me! ;)

I love Boma too! It's one of my favorite restaurants on property. I've never had a bad meal there.

Omigosh it was unbelievable. I honestly didnt expect it to be as good as it was - apparently even after all this time, im only just scratching the surface of how great the dining plan really is.

At least we're not the only crowd fumbling around AKLodge looking for food. The Map was neat too, check it out next time you're there - its all faded and antique. Like a little window to the past Main Street ;)

A CD?! How fantastic is that?! I told him, and he is now on the hunt for who to call to get it. He wants to see his brain pretty bad- I wouldnt be surprised if he makes it his desktop wallpaper. Dork ;)

The Map is underneath the Train Station stairway. It was really quiet down there and had a really cool antique feel, great for snapping a few pics with less crowd. There are a few more I took down there ill post as well.

It IS chilly around here :sad1: That cold rain didnt help either. Im so glad youre liking the pictures, and I hope laughing along the way too :rotfl:

**Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and concern for Kris. Everyone kept telling me it wasnt a big deal - but somehow when youre talking about your own it seems like a much bigger issue to tackle. I cant express to you how nice and comforting it is to at least have people to sympathize with. :lovestruc It meant more to me than you know.

Enjoy your Saturday afternoon - and if I dont botch these craft attempts too bad ill show you what I end up with! :flower3:

Really enjoying your TR so far...clever title and cute pics! Sounds like your family is such a fun group! :goodvibes LOVE all your princess-inspired decorating too -- now I want to go out and find some notebooks/nick nacks with Disney princess quotes on them! And that fluffy pink wreath is fabulous. princess:

Hi All - Im back in action and ready to upload some new photos for your viewing pleasure. I hope everyone had a fantastic Holiday and welcome start to the new year... I certainly did. I have some big and fun life updates, but Ill share those AFTER we get back to the trip. Disney comes first this morning...

We left off leaving Boma and heading back to the room for some sleep. Tuesday was Typhoon Lagoon day! Ill admit- Typhoon Lagoon is AMAZING and beautiful and phenomenally fun. But giant waterpark + expensive camera = no pictures. Please forgive me. We had a great time. I turned into a 5 year old all over again. I was barreled over in the giant wave pool and couldnt tell which end was up. Next thing I know, my mother reaches into the water with her mom-instinct and pulls me out by my elbow. Needless to say, she and Allie were ROARING laughing, and I was embarrassed and laughed right along with them  Kris and Dad bodysurfed over and over again. That wave pool has got to be my highlight for the day. We will DEFINITLEY be doing that again. Lazy river was great too--- all in all, its a dont miss park. If you havent been, you should really consider it on a hot day. And while we were there in October, it was PERFECT. Not too crowded at all, and still hot in the sun. 5Stars for you, Typhoon Lagoon.

After Typhoon Lagoon we didnt actually make it to Downtown Disney, as we had originally planned. Instead we had TOO much fun and stayed at the water park. Then headed for moms big surprise dinner at Ohana!

sign.jpg

Dinner was fantastic, as always. A family favorite not to be missed.

ohana.jpg

And after the meal, they brought out Moms big fancy birthday cake that Dad ordered! Mary Poppins from the Grand Floridian bakery. Practically Perfect in Every Way!! Mom was SO shocked and loved it. We even brought it back to our room for later...

cake.jpg

Finally, I just can NOT get through a whole day without some shopping. So I headed to an old favorite- the BouTiki inside the Poly to try and find some fun things with Al. I almost bought the black patent leather fitflops, but they didnt have my size. Instead I ended up being silly inside the giant mirror, and I think Allie got some pins for her lanyard...

girls.jpg

:earsboy:::MickeyMoNow, I cant live with myself without a post and photos. Ive also been a DisBoards deadbeat for coming up on two months :guilty: Im unsure if anyone is still reading... So- to get back in your good graces, Ive got tons of Epcot pictures coming up. Ill do one or two posts of pics from that this morning, and throw in a life update so you know and see what ive been up to. (teaser: we got a puppy!) :earsboy:::MinnieMo

Bright and early, we're on the bus for another Disney adventure. We (much like you all) Start some park days at the crack of Holy Dawn. There are times where Im so thankful to have an arsenal of Disney Tshirts for the main reason that I dont have to match an outfit together that early. Pull one out in the dark with shorts and youre good to go. Eric noticed this little sign on the bus ride over to Epcot, and we tried to decipher what it means, and what people from other countries may think. See if you can come up with something funnier! :lmao: Our ideas are below

hotdog.jpg

No Smoking. No Hotdog Soda. No Evil Robots.
No Firesticks. No Lunch. No 40s Radios.
No Ciggarettes. No Hotdog Water. No 8 Tracks.
--Seriously, you'd think they'd be a little more specific. Either way, it was too early- and I was laughing too loud for the others on the bus :rotfl:

Okay Wednesday is tackle Epcot day. My DH being the Soarin enthusiast that he is, blazes a trail to The Land.

soarin.jpg

Standard Kris is take all the park tickets for the group, walk as fast as I possibly can to get fast passes, then get in line to standby wait for our first ride of the day. Knowing the second time is gravy. We also go back and forth waiting for the Patrick Warburton video to start. I can only see him as Joe on Family Guy... "These little beauties"

concourse.jpg

After that, we head for the World Showcase. I was SO excited for the Food & Wine festival! I grabbed a cute pic of Mom and Dad holding hands in front of the display.
hands.jpg

Then, not to be outdone, the boys struck some epic poses is front of the water show from Futureworld.

Boys.jpg

epic.jpg

I think Photoshop adds a little more EPIC to the image ;) But theyre pretty manly and hilarious as it is.

foodwine.jpg

And of COURSE we didnt forget Alsagirl. Kris started making faces in her sunglasses so we could catch his reflection... but she couldnt stop laughing! Then he made scary noises to go with his crazy faces, and it led to this sequence of fun:

So as promised, heres a sneak peek of our new Puppy, Sawyer. We found him from a rescue in Arkansas and they trucked him all the way up to New England with a Puppy Rescue company. Hes a great addition to the house. Sydney is less than pleased... but all in all its great. Im sorting through more pics and uploading-- so I have something to do instead of watch the Superbowl! More Soon...
