Hi All - Im back in action and ready to upload some new photos for your viewing pleasure. I hope everyone had a fantastic Holiday and welcome start to the new year... I certainly did. I have some big and fun life updates, but Ill share those AFTER we get back to the trip. Disney comes first this morning...
We left off leaving Boma and heading back to the room for some sleep. Tuesday was Typhoon Lagoon day! Ill admit- Typhoon Lagoon is AMAZING and beautiful and phenomenally fun. But giant waterpark + expensive camera = no pictures. Please forgive me. We had a great time. I turned into a 5 year old all over again. I was barreled over in the giant wave pool and couldnt tell which end was up. Next thing I know, my mother reaches into the water with her mom-instinct and pulls me out by my elbow. Needless to say, she and Allie were ROARING laughing, and I was embarrassed and laughed right along with them
Kris and Dad bodysurfed over and over again. That wave pool has got to be my highlight for the day. We will DEFINITLEY be doing that again. Lazy river was great too--- all in all, its a dont miss park. If you havent been, you should really consider it on a hot day. And while we were there in October, it was PERFECT. Not too crowded at all, and still hot in the sun. 5Stars for you, Typhoon Lagoon.
After Typhoon Lagoon we didnt actually make it to Downtown Disney, as we had originally planned. Instead we had TOO much fun and stayed at the water park. Then headed for moms big surprise dinner at Ohana!
Dinner was fantastic, as always. A family favorite not to be missed.
And after the meal, they brought out Moms big fancy birthday cake that Dad ordered! Mary Poppins from the Grand Floridian bakery. Practically Perfect in Every Way!! Mom was SO shocked and loved it. We even brought it back to our room for later...
Finally, I just can NOT get through a whole day without some shopping. So I headed to an old favorite- the BouTiki inside the Poly to try and find some fun things with Al. I almost bought the black patent leather fitflops, but they didnt have my size. Instead I ended up being silly inside the giant mirror, and I think Allie got some pins for her lanyard...
Now, I cant live with myself without a post and photos. Ive also been a DisBoards deadbeat for coming up on two months
Im unsure if anyone is still reading... So- to get back in your good graces, Ive got tons of Epcot pictures coming up. Ill do one or two posts of pics from that this morning, and throw in a life update so you know and see what ive been up to. (teaser: we got a puppy!)
Bright and early, we're on the bus for another Disney adventure. We (much like you all) Start some park days at the crack of Holy Dawn. There are times where Im so thankful to have an arsenal of Disney Tshirts for the main reason that I dont have to match an outfit together that early. Pull one out in the dark with shorts and youre good to go. Eric noticed this little sign on the bus ride over to Epcot, and we tried to decipher what it means, and what people from other countries may think. See if you can come up with something funnier!
Our ideas are below
No Smoking. No Hotdog Soda. No Evil Robots.
No Firesticks. No Lunch. No 40s Radios.
No Ciggarettes. No Hotdog Water. No 8 Tracks.
--Seriously, you'd think they'd be a little more specific. Either way, it was too early- and I was laughing too loud for the others on the bus
Okay Wednesday is tackle Epcot day. My DH being the Soarin enthusiast that he is, blazes a trail to The Land.
Standard Kris is take all the park tickets for the group, walk as fast as I possibly can to get fast passes, then get in line to standby wait for our first ride of the day. Knowing the second time is gravy. We also go back and forth waiting for the Patrick Warburton video to start. I can only see him as Joe on Family Guy... "These little beauties"
After that, we head for the World Showcase. I was SO excited for the Food & Wine festival! I grabbed a cute pic of Mom and Dad holding hands in front of the display.
Then, not to be outdone, the boys struck some epic poses is front of the water show from Futureworld.
I think Photoshop adds a little more EPIC to the image
But theyre pretty manly and hilarious as it is.
And of COURSE we didnt forget Alsagirl. Kris started making faces in her sunglasses so we could catch his reflection... but she couldnt stop laughing! Then he made scary noises to go with his crazy faces, and it led to this sequence of fun:
