I was booking the Radisson and they have 2 choices with Cruise/Parking and other standard rate. Do you have to book the cruise rate to park and use the shuttle?

TIA

I don't believe so. Anyone can use the shuttle who stays a the hotel and as far as parking I have read that people on the other rates were able to leave their car there. I am sure someone else will post if I am incorrect about the parking.

mmouse37 is totally correct. The cruise package just gives you two free breakfasts in the morning. You do not need to book that package to get free shuttle and free parking. We always book the AAA rate...

Have fun at the Radisson...we love the pool and the bar!

We stayed loved it very relaxing but did not have to pay extra to park it was included if you were a guest before cruise and shuttle was also included.

Make sure you book the shuttle NOW rather than when you get there!!! There is limited seating of course and it runs every 1/2 hour. So if you have a preferred time, call now to book!

Nope, we never book that package, we go for the least expensive option, since we never drive we never need to park:lmao: As for breakfast we usually have leftovers from Kelsey's from the night before and my DSIS hits up the McDonalds that you can walk to:thumbsup2 And I second the booking of the shuttle ASAP. Call the hotel and book it as soon as you book your room, the early times fill up fast!

Be careful- Our car was broken into at the Radisson during a 7 night cruise last year...

MJ is completely correct--the cruise package typically costs $20 more and includes 2 breakfasts. Parking and shuttle is included with ANY stay at the hotel; we always go for the best rate we can find.

Re above break in--the lot is not fenced/locked, nor is it particularly lighted. I wouldn't leave anything in my car!

Ours was when we left it there for the 1/11/10 Wonder cruise...along with many others. The camera doesn't do any good. They stole our GPS which was stashed under the back seat of the van under pillows and my DD's DS and all of her games -- about 30. Basically nothing was done about it even with a police report because it was too little damage to go over the deductable to replace the door handle and the items were covered under homeowners...again less than the deductable. I would never leave our car there again.

Adding that even if there had been nothing in the car the fact that they ruined our key entry lock and we didn't discover it until we got to WDW was a frustration. We had used the keyless entry so didn't notice and we could still lock & unlock the car from the inside & with the clicker thank goodness. Kissimmee police wouldn't take a report and fax it to Port Canaveral so we had to drive back then to Orlando again. Not exactly a great experience to have to deal with after a cruise & when we had looked forward to going to DTD for the afternoon. We only decided to park there instead of the port because the girl at the desk made a big deal about how it is a secured lot with cameras and they have a guard that patrols the grounds and it would save us money and she got us on an early shuttle. Their camera & guard are both useless IMO. I was grateful that they didn't vandalize the car leaving us with no transportation.

I was just about to post this same question, but concerning The Country Inn and suites. Does anyone know if the parking is free with the cheapest rate?

I would think this would be a problem at any park/fly or park/cruise hotel. I know a lot of airport hotels have this problem too. It's a shame really....... I guess just leave your car spotless when you are gone so that potential thiefs see absolutely nothing when they peak in.....

We had a GPS & portable DVD player stolen. Nothing was visible from outside the car, but a bunch of cars were broken into that night. The guy who broke into our car was caught, but we won't get anything from him. Apparently the victim must testify in person at the restitution hearing. We live in NC & it wasn't worth another trip to FL to try to get some money back from a guy who had no money. Luckily we had such a great time on our cruise that our vacation wasn't ruined.

Not trying to minimize the fact that you were victimized, but this could have just as easily happened in your driveway. Also, the Port Police should have been able to take your report over the phone, rather than force you to drive all the way back. That's bad customer service on their part.

-----We didn't use the park and cruise package. We paid the regular room rate and were allowed to park for free during out 7 nt Estrn on the Magic. I did notice some pretty good scuff marks on my paint job. One on the driver side and another on the passenger side. The culprits I assume, were fellow cruisers, being clumsey with their luggage.
