We are about to book our DP!!!

They offered us "Lower French Island" as our location-is it a nice location? Good views??

Please answer as soon as possible, if you have any reviews or advice! I want to book it this weekend so we do not lose our chance!

Thank you so much in advance for any advice you might have!!:goodvibes

Yes its a very nice location. My original plan for our wedding was to have a full reception at FI. We've watched the show from there many times. That location is right next to the bridge where they park the boats for the illuminations cruises so disney must think highly of that location too. Just one note -I think dh and i have watched illuminations from each of the dp locations and each can have fireworks smoke blowing towards it on any given night so just be aware that it could happen, but overall its an excellent location and should be great for your party.

I'm beTting carrie's book, passporter guide to weddings..., has pertinent reviews and pics of all EPCOT locations, if you don't have it! It's available in both hardcover and the instant gratification of e book format!

Sorry ... tried to post a link to photos but apparently the DIS won't let me ... they seem to be blocking the site for some reason and I can't delete my post ... :(

Could you PM me the link? I"d love to see more pictures!

We're having our DP at the same location, and when we were at Epcot on our last visit, we specifically wanted to watch Illuminations from that area.

The whole time we were watching, we were commenting on how lucky we were to score that location! I am very pleased, and I know that it will be such a wonderful surprise for our guests.

It is also right next to the water, so it's even more pretty, and you won't have people walking through your venue like you would from the upper location.

This page shows Lower French Terrace—it's the 3rd and 4th photos from the bottom:

Thanks so much for the link, Carrie-it looks like a really pretty area!!

Anyone know anything about the fireworks view? I have heard that there are obstructions at the French Arm, but we were offered Lower French Terrace....I'm hoping that area is OK.

Carrie: Have you done any podcasts on Epcot DP's?

Oooh - that's a really good idea! I'll get on it... :goodvibes

There are no obstructions from the lower terrace—it's a really great view! I don't know how much of a hurry you're in, but I have tons of pix taken from there over the years (daytime, no fireworks) that I just need to dig up.

Thanks Carrie!:goodvibes I"ll bet alot of girls would appreciate a podcast about DP's: the different locations, decorations, menus, booking through DFTW vs. how to book if you are a non DFTW bride, etc!!

I'm hoping to hear back from the planner tomorrow and I'm hoping we can go ahead and reserve the spot ASAP! We are more than 11 months out, but from her email it sounded like we could reserve the spot now-my fingers are crossed!!

YES, I would love to see more pictures though, if you have more to share!! I wish there was a sticky on here for DP's!!!
