Can you add DP on after booking?

Hello all.

I have made our Disney World reservations for August 10-19 with a 6 day park hopper/water park tickets staying at the Beach Club Resort. I am now thinking we should have at least thought about the dining plan. Can I add this on? Is there an additional charge? I have 3 girls (11,11,13) and me and DH. Sometimes we don't eat as much as other times. I am going to be researching and researching and calculating. I just want to know that if we do decide that it is worth it, can I add it onto my trip with no additional charges? Like would it be the same price if I had added it when I booked? Does this make sense? Thanks.

The dining plan can be added to an existing package reservation up to 72 hours before your arrival date and there are not extra charges to add it.

You still have plenty of time to add it. I'm guessing you won't find it worthwhile, unless you are planning on a lot of character meals. You'd be paying 3 adult prices for your 3 children.. So you'll need to figure out whether they would really be eating over $46 of food, per day. For the DDP to just about break even, then on average... each member of your party would need to be getting a TS meal of over $30 per day and a CS meal of over $15 per day.

The DP for us for 9 nights with 5 adults is $2159.55. I think we only plan on 1 or 2 character meals and maybe 1 or 2 really nice meals. Or maybe more nice meals. I am guessing the DP might not be worth it for us. I can't really calculate what we will eat because who knows. It just depends on our moods of the day and how hungry we are. 2 of the days we won't even be in the parks and just hanging by the pool and eating at the hotel or in downtown Disney. $47 dollars per day seems like a lot, but maybe it is worth it. Oh, I don't know. At least I have time to decide. But I need to make our TS reservations on Feb. 11 so I really don't have that much time. I am just confusing myself.

Time for me to get out the spreadsheet. Yes, I am a computer nerd and I love it. :cool1:

Thanks.

You can always look into whether the Quick Service plan works for you.

Also, I'd never get the DDP and NOT make ADRs. You are gambling on whether or not you can even get into restaurants.
