Great Use for Extra Snack Credits

On our last night of our honeymoon, we still had about ten snack credits left over (we were on the Deluxe plan and used two sit down meals each day and only one snack each day).

Luckily, we stumbled into the candy store on main street. We discovered that a piece of fudge and other candies at the counter were on the snack plan.

So, we ended up getting ten items and brought them home with us for our families!!

We do this every trip. We are not snackers, but love the DDP. Depending on where we are our last day, we got to the Main Street bakery, the Villian's candy store in DS, the Boardwalk bakery, or Goofy's candy store in DTD to use up our snack credits. I go to WDW several times a year and my coworkers have gotten into the habit of letting me know what snacks they want me to bring back for them.:rotfl: I agree it's a great use of snack credits.

Our favorite place to use snack credits is the Boulangerie Patisserie in France - World Showcase - Epcot. We go there on our last day and load up.

We did this two years ago. We drove from Tennessee to WDW. The last day we stocked up on fudge.

Honestly, the fudge barley made it to Macon GA.:lmao:

We just discovered this last week also! We used up all our snack credits on fudge and peanut butter cups. It's nice to have a disney treat when you get home.

We like to use them for breakfast at the main street Bakery! :goodvibes yummmmm

We will try this if we have any left over at the end instead of just getting the mickey rice crispy treats like we always do. Thanks!

We do the same thing - last trip we brought home giant character cookies and Christmas treats for all the kids' friends, and fudge for some of our friends and family.

just a note to those who like to use the snack credits at the Main Street Bakery for breakfast. When we were there early November, we stopped at MS Bakery right at rope drop to get the giant hot gooey cinnamon rolls & an apple turnover...expecting fresh & hot since it was first thing in the morning & we were about the 20th party in line. NOT! Apparently they bake up a bunch the night before & store overnight, uncovered, in coolers. The cinnamon rolls were refrigerator-cold and very stale, as was the apple turnover. Not good at all. Saw reviews after mine saying the same thing...morning rolls at MS Bakery are no longer fresh-baked. Just so you know!

Thats terrible! First they take away the French toast loaf now this....I guess we wont be stopping there as often anymore. What a major disappointment.

I wonder if they do this to beat the morning rush and it gets better towards later in the AM....either way, I think we may end up just taking cereal bars, cereal and buying milk while there. I planned to stop at the bakery several times and apparently just like all eateries, I suppose it is going down hill

What types of snacks do you take back with you from Boulangerie?

We got a big assortment, chocolate croissants, strawberry tart, apple turnover, chocolate mousse, napoleon, and more. Also good cappuccino. They packaged everything very well in a couple of big bakery boxes. We enjoyed some for evening snacks (the things that didn't travel as well) and then the rest we brought home. Below is the Allears menu. I think that everything was a snack except for the cheese plate, ham & cheese quiche, and ham & cheese sandwich.
