For 2012 we are thinking about booking a Western Caribbean cruise but we are worried that a Hawaii cruise will come out for 2012. Do you think it is possible that Hawaii will come out then?

Anything is possible! However, based on what others saw of the port schedule in Hawaii, my guess is that Hawaii cruises will be limited to two repositioning cruises between Los Angeles and Vancouver in May and September. Because of maritime laws, most cruise lines that sail to Hawaii do 14-day roundtrip cruises from CA with a stop in Ensenada, Mexico, or they reposition from one country to another via Hawaii. DCL can't do one-way cruises to Hawaii from another US port without making a distant foreign port stop, or else the cruises would have to begin or end in Ensenada, Mexico.

In my opinion LA to Vancouver does not seem likely because it is a day or two out of the way. I like to think that DCL is sending a ship to Asia, South america, or (less likely) Australia. I really think that Asia is a possibility. we can only hope! pirate:

ETA: Tokyo Disneyland will be almost 30 years old in 2012 as well. Remember that the first time the magic went to LA was Disneyland's 50th birthday and the first time the Magic went to Europe was Disneyland Paris's 15th. So we shall see.

This has been rumored, and even hinted at by the Disney CEO. However, no one has any sure info at this time. After all, Disney will open Aulani in Hawaii soon, and there is discussion of involving Tokyo or Hong Kong in an Asia cruise.

My guess--if they can make money at it, they will try it.

Why would that worry you? Book the Western and if Hawaii does show up you can change your reservation. Best to lock in the 2012 rate now.

I've seen great itineraries on other cruise lines from Japan to Vancouver via Alaska. major $$$$$
