Just heard that the Fantasy Maiden Voyage has been brought forward to 31st March! Fortunately we can still make it!

I noticed that you've done a couple of Maiden Voyages. What should we expect different to a regular Disney Cruise?

I have only done the MV of the Magic (and soon the MV of the Dream) and the Magic MV although wonderful (it was our first time on any cruise) there were many things that went wrong....firstly there were 3 delays in the actual sailing....was supposed to go in March, then April and then finally sailed in July of 1998, staff was not fully trained yet, no cruise director, not many activities, no A/C for part of the cruise, etc.

I do not expect the Dream or Fantasy MV's to be anything like the Magic's.....at first I was upset that DCL was having so many pre-cruises before the MV of the Dream as I felt we paid a premium to be on the "first cruise" but the more I think about it the more I realize that those cruises before the MV will immensely help DCL in providing good service for the MV...DCL will already know how to handle almost double the amount of people getting on and off the new ship, the crew will have been in their routines for a few cruises, etc. I expect the MV's of the Dream and Fantasy to be pretty darn good!!!
