Just had a Phone Call from a Cast Member on the Dream

What a surprise to get a call from our favorite stateroom host who is now on the Dream! He said that the ship is nothing like the Magic and that it is unbelievable. The crew is excited about coming into Port Canaveral; however, I neglected to ask him the expected arrival time. Any one know when the Dream will make her debut into the port?

When the newest Carnaval ship first came to the port, they had a party at Jetty Park with games, food for purchase, and a drawing for a cruise. Will Disney do something similar for the Dream?

Is the Dream expected to still be at the port on Jan 6th when the Wonder takes off for the Panama Canal cruise?

The Dream will do a number of short cruises before it's maiden voyage. My guess is that it will be out and about when the Wonder or Magic is in Port.

Not sure if it will be in port but it should not be far away I am sure Disney will be planning a photo op of some kind with The Dream and her Sisters. The Dream sets sail for the first time (with Guests on board) Friday January 7th for a 3 night trip to Nassau and Castaway Cay.

Now for The Dream's first arrival into Port Canaveral on January 4th she will depart Castaway Cay the day prior at normal time and is expected into Port Canaveral about 4am or 5am with the first Guests disembarking @ 7:30am January 4th. Not sure but I think Jetty Park is closed to the public until dawn.

OMG! I just can't wait to see and hear everyone's experience with this new ship! It's like waiting for Christmas day all over again!:thumbsup2

Just to clairify when I said the first sailing with Guests was Jan 7th I meant to say that it was the first sailing FROM Port Canaveral with Guests.

Talked to a Port Canaveral CM today who said the Dream will be coming in at 6 a.m. Typically, the ships arrive between 4:30 and 5 a.m. We will be camping at Jetty Park and plan to taking pics as the Dream arrives. We'll also take my Mickey hands to wave them in.

I am a little confused. I thought the Dream's first trip is at the end of January, like the 26th...what am I missing? Thanks

Before regular sailings begin, there are a number of "unofficial" sailings for VIPs, CM, travel agents, etc.
