Sea birds on Castaway Cay?

We have been on only 2 cruises, but on both we did not see any sea-birds on Castawy Cay. I'm not missing the flying trouble makers, just wondering does Disney chase them off with falcons like they do at some airports ?

Interesting question. On our November cruise we had a cabana and asked why there weren't any small tables with the chairs on the beach. We were told that they don't want people eating on the beach as it would attract birds. Maybe since all the food areas are covered, it keeps the birds, especially sea gulls, away. Sea gulls are scavengers so they will go where it is easiest to get food.

Oops.. And that is exactly what we did.. took the food to the beach and voila !! All the birds where there !!!
