Question about rooms never cruised before

Which choice would be better, category 9A decks 5, 6, 7, 8

or category 9B deck 2

Really personal choice......we like oceanview cabins so I go for the lowest priced ones which on the Magic and Wonder are on Deck 1 and 2. On the Dream/Fantasy the lowest oceanview would be on Deck 2. There is really no difference between the 9A and 9B except in location. Some feel there is an advantage to being higher.....others don't.

I am assuming you are referring to the Dream/Fantasy as the Magic/Wonder don't have any Oceanview cabins on Deck 8.

It is the same room, only the location is different. I've stayed all over the Magic, and find something good about each location.

Deck 2 is very convenient to the dining rooms, Guest Services, and the night club areas. However, I usually find that I'll take an elevator to the pool, at least after the first few days. Some people find that being closer to the water line (lower cabin) reduces their tendency toward motion sickness.

It is traditional on cruise ships that the higher the cabin deck, the more costly the room; a hold over from the concept of first class vs. second and third class passengers?

I'd be tempted to go with the cheapest location and use the savings for something fun!

Deck 5 is our favorite good location to kids club and resturants and has very few state rooms on it. Also same deck as the movie theather on the Magic/Wonder. We are booked for this deck in 12/2011 on the Dream and will have to wait and see but looks like fewer cabins on this ship as well.

Can you tell me why? There is a 75 dollar difference between deck 2 (cheaper) than the other price.

The poor lady a dreams unlimited is going to hate me
Lots of people love Deck 2 because it's close to the restaurants, just one flight up. People who haven't stayed there often worry that it feels like "the bowels of the ship", but really once you get off the elevator it looks just like any other passenger deck. Ceilings are the same height, corridors the same width.

On Magic/Wonder, 9A cabins are no different from deck to deck. On the Dream, the deck 2 window is "large" (like on Magic/Wonder), but the higher-deck 9A's have an "extra large" window. Other than that, no different.
