What DCL offers have you seen of late?

I haven't been on the DCL boards for awhile (not since my cruise in 2009), and I was wondering what kind of deals you have seen over the last few months. Or if anyone has any thoughts on what deals there might be in the next few months with having a new ship...more rooms to fill. Considering a cruise this summer and not really in the know as to what's been going on with deals and such. Any thoughts?

The newest offer was $200 in OBC for cruises booked thru a travel agent (any agent, not a specific one), Dream sailings, specific dates, new bookings only.

I haven't seen a lot else recently. There was 20% off on Med sailings booked on board, but that's been going on for a while.

Thanks!I knew I'd get a quick response here! Any advice on cruising for a family of 5? I know my sister is dying to go on one, but every time she looks at pricing for the 5 of them, she says it is too much because of the room to sleep 5...3 kids, 4, 9 and 12 at time of crusie this summer. I would love for us to be able to cruise together!

Don't forget it's often cheaper to book two lower category rooms than one of the higher categories to fit 5 people, lots of people do this. :thumbsup2

And in terms of offers, they had the Kids Sail Free offer back in June for the upcoming Mexican Riviera cruises, we snagged that for March!

Well, if there are 3 in your family, you can book one of their kids into your cabin. Don't know which ship you are on, but there are supposedly more options for larger families on the Dream; I haven't explored these as it wouldn't affect us at this point.

Other ideas--connecting cat 10s (they'll have to book 2 cabins with one adult in each and will pay adult rates for the 2 oldest kids) can be cheaper than a single cat 4 and have more room. With teens, another option is an inside room across the hall from the parent room; I wouldn't do that at the ages you've mentioned. I wouldn't expect a kids free or any great deal in the summer.
