Hilton at DTD - Can we get there from here?

We are staying at the Hilton at Downtown Disney and are not renting a car. I would like to know what is the fastest way to get to each park from our hotel. We are early risers and want to take advantage of the early entry. We also want to stay late whenever possible. (We can sleep when we get home from vacation). Our trip begins on Dec 26.

I'll be interested to hear any responses because I am looking for info on the reverse :rotfl2: I am staying at POP and was wondering if I could walk from DTD to the Hilton to go to Benihana or if I would have to take a cab.

@Susan, Pop and Hilton are not what I would consider walking distance.

@MTMom, I can't tell you exactly, but Hilton runs their own transportation apart from Disney and I'm not sure if I've seen their buses at early EMH. In fact, have you double checked that Hilton guests get access to EMH? Last I knew it was for WDW resorts and swan/dolphin only but they may have extended to the Village resorts. Your best bet may be taking a cab or renting a car. An alternative I've tried is parking at a resort and taking the on-property transportation after that. Hopefully someone has more definitive info!

Grab a cab. It's the fastest way and not so expensive if the hotel transportation doesn't fit the bill.

AFAIK, the Hilton is the one non-Disney hotel other than the Swan and Dolphin where guests have EMH priviledges. I'm not sure what their park transportation is, however. Some off-property resorts run hourly or otherwise scheduled service to each of the parks; others only go to one or two parks and you have to use Disney transport from there. Unless the Hilton has excellent transportation options I agree that cab is probably the best bet.

You should know that getting to the parks from DTD likely is not a viable alternative as there are no direct buses from DTD to any of the parks.

Hilton is the one off-site resort that is included in EMHs.:)

It is also possible to walk to the DTD bus racks from the Hilton, catch a bus to a resort, then walk to the nearest park. For example, catch the DTD bus to CR, then walk to MK. Or, catch DTD bus to YC/BC and walk to Epcot or DHS. Not quick, by any means, but if you're not wanting to stick to the DTD Shuttle Bus schedule, it's an option. Last week I noted that two hotels (Hilton/Wyndham) had their logos on the "DTD Hotels Shuttle Bus."

The Hilton in DTD participates in EMH, along with Swan/Dolphin and Shades of Green.

take the bus from pop to dtd and walk across the street to the hilton, its totally doable.

I just returned from staying at the Hilton @ Bonnet Creek, just down from DTD. They had bus service hourly to the parks. I'd imagine it's the same for all the Hiltons.

kapoof- thanks for the info :goodvibes: I was looking on google maps and I know it is close enough to walk but I wasn't sure if the road that seperated them was cross-able :confused3 I couldn't tell if there was a crosswalk or if I would be crossing a freeway.

If you walk from the Hilton to DTD to grab a bus to a resort that will work, you'll just have to take another bus from that resort to the park, but I think those buses only run when the DTD shops are open. I don't think any of the shops open as early as EMHs. But the Hilton should have a shuttle.

There is a cross-walk and traffic light between the DTD and the Hilton + a sidewalk on the Hilton side. It's a 5 -10 minute walk from DTD to the Hilton.
