Questions about whitehall

I'm new here and still learning but I came across whitehall tonight and it seems like it could be a good fit. When you rent whitehall do you also get the outdoor patio? What are the F&B minimums for a Sat night? Could we do the actual ceremony there on the patio? Any other info on whitehall would be great! We're currently planning a swan/dolphin VR ceremony and I'm all over the place with the reception. We'll have anywhere from 25-50 people. If we could just have the VR right there that would save us the hassle of transportation.

Also, is whitehall only available to DFTW brides? I'll be a S/D'er so I'm not sure if that disqualifies me.

If you did a Wishes VR through DFTW, you could definitely have your ceremony right at Whitehall, either in the room or out on the patio. They have done both (we looked into this as an option at one point). Also, if you are doing a Wishes package, then there is no minimum on the room, just the minimum food/beverage expenditure that would go with your package.

I'm not sure what usage rules or minimums would apply if you're having a S/D event and using the room for a reception only.

Hi,

We're having our cocktail hour in the whitehall room and I believe that you do get the patio to go along with it when you book it (we did). The room is fairly small and I would not recommend for any more than 30 people and it would not allow for much other to be set up other than tables (no dance floor or anything like that).

We're doing our reception in one of the ballrooms, which they have multiple sizes, so that might be something to think of as well (plus then you don't have to worry about weather and the patio)

We had Whitehall Room for our reception - the patio comes with it. We had 51 people (5 round tables) plus a cake table, dessert table and table for ipod and were comfortable. There was even room in the middle for our first dance. We did our pre-reception on the patio and it was perfect.

I think having your ceremony on the patio and then the reception in the room itself would be pretty!

Hi! If you are even just booking a reception through DFTW you will still need to meet all the wishes minimums. For a Saturday night that is $15,000 overall minimum expenditure. The food and bev minimums are $125 per person.

We are having 30 guests at the Whitehall Room, with 4 square tables, a DJ, dance floor, cake table, etc. and according to my planner everything will fit comfortably, our cocktail hour will be on the whitehall Patio. On my PJ, I have pictures of the room and patio when I went for my planning session,
