Breakfast Buffet HELP!!

I cannot decide on a breakfast buffet -- options are Chef Mickey's (on a MK day or an Epcot day), Cape May Cafe (on an Epcot day), or Tusker House (obviously on an AK day).

Reservations are available at 7:30 am for CM (MK opens at 8), 7:50 am reservation for Cape May Cafe (EP opens at 9), and a 9:35 am reservation for Tusker House (AK opens at 9).

Is Cape May a quieter experience than CM?

Which is the best breakfast buffet? Thanks!

We like Tusker house but a 9:30 ADR really messes up park time. If that is the only time you can get, I might would go with the Cape May Cafe but we are rope drop people so that is a big factor for us. CM is a lot of fun and a short monorail ride to MK but if you eat there ask for your check at the start of your meal, we have had VERY slow service there. Not a biggie for the buffet except for drinks and having to wait for the check. We have not done CMC.

We LOVE Cape May Cafe for breakfast and always make a point to go at least once during a trip. Yes the restaurant is much quieter than at CM and the character interaction is 10 times better IMHO, at times you forget you are at a character meal...that is until Goofy sneaks up behind you so you can take a picture with him :goodvibes. The food is always hot and fresh (I think the food is much better here than at CM too) and the service is outstanding. After your breakfast you can just take a short walk over to IG to get into Epcot.

I wouldn't do the 9:30 Tusker House--that cuts into prime park time. We do Cape May every year and love that one, so I'd go with that.

Our favorite morning character breakfast was Cape May, by far. We liked Chef Mickey -- but the service and the characters were much more fun and relaxed at Cape May. Haven't eaten at Tusker House...

Have fun!

Never, ever miss Tusker House breakfast on any of our trips. It's total must for us. Crystal Palace at MK is good, Cape May is good, and Ohana's is good and Cinderella's Royal Table as well.
You will never catch me eating at Chef Mickey's again. Did it once and was very disappointment by many things.

I LOVE the food at Tusker House, but that 9:35 time is no good. I HATE everything about Chef Mickey's, so I say go for Cape May. :thumbsup2

Totally agree...we havent experienced Cape May so I am not able to comment on that :)

I always like the options in the parks because of travel time. Think of that when you make your final decision.

We really liked Tusker House with the characters in their safari clothes! The breakfast was very good and everyone said they would go back. The time you have is an akward time though, but still doable. It doesn't take long to get through all the main things at AK.

Cape May sound like your best bet if your conserned about morning park touring. Just remember your commute to BC resort.

Some love Chef Mickey's! We have only been there for dinner and if it wasn't for the characters we would have been very unhappy. I am sure breakfast is different though, can't really mess up breakfast. Sorry I can't help with CM for breakfast.

We did not find the food at CM to be all that good BUT the characters were the best anywhere. I am sure both can be a hit or miss.

Thanks everyone! Would we be able to make a 735 am reservation at cape may from pop century? I am concerned a 750 reservation won't allow us to get to epcot when it opens. Or would 750 work to make it to epcot by 9?

I don't think I'd count on it. We've always had to wait 10-ish minutes past our ADR, and even though it's a buffet it could still take an hour. Add the 5-ish minute walk to Epcot and going through security and all that, and I don't think you'd make it.
