Does anyone know how far of a cab ride it is to Nachi Cocom from the ship and how much it costs. Or if there are other transportation options that would be cheaper and/or safer with a 4 year old.

We just did this last week. Nachi was FABULOUS!! The cab ride prices are listed on a board at the street. 1-4 people costs a total of $16.00. We paid this price to get there, and shared a van with another family of 4 on the way back and each family paid the same $16.00 again. I think it was about a 15 to 20 minute drive. It took a while to get out of the city streets, but once the driver got clear of traffic, it went quicker. There is an employee at the entrance to Nachi, when you get out of your cab, who will gather your party, put mexican hats on all of you, and take a photo. You then return the hats, LOL DS7 wanted to keep his :) This employee will come around at the end of the day, with your photo, a 5x7 print with a nice boarder around it, and ask you if you wish to purchase it for $12.00. I liked our photo, so purchased it. That was the only extra cost, plus a tip to our server there. Absolutely amazing time!! The only thing I noticed in the car, in the back seat there was only 2 seat belts even though there was seating for 3 of us. There was no seat belt in the middle. The vans seemed to be be better equipped. I know of no other transportation options to get you there, unless you rent a car yourself. I found the drivers both times, very pleasant and drove safely. One other thing I can't stress enough. HAVE YOUR NACHI RESERVATION sheet WITH YOU!!! Most drivers won't take you unless you have it. That being said, ours asked if we had it but did not ask to see it. One member of our group did not have theirs, but got to Nachi OK, but the people at Nachi had trouble finding their reservation. So that was a bit of a hassel. So be sure to bring a print out of your reservation!!! :)

The web site said they would respond within 24 hours, how long have other people waited for responses? It has been over 48 for me

We did this last week as well!!! It was a very nice place....but....we have been to other Beach Clubs in Cozumel that did have more things for kids/adults such as water trampoline or "iceberg", kayaks, sunfish sailboats, etc. Nachi had none of those. Towels were $6.00 a person to rent for the day (we forgot to take them from the ship) and floats were $7.00 pp to rent (other beach clubs had them included). Pool was nice, food and drink were great but I just thought it lacked the non-motorized water sports that most other beach clubs have for the same price admission price. It was very nice that it was not crowded as they limit the capacity to about 100 people. There were 6 or 7 ships in port that day. Most people at Nachi that day were disboard people but we did meet one couple in the pool that was from the Crown Princess ship.

We were a party of 5 and the cab ride was $24.00 each way. We had a nice air conditioned van each way with friendly drivers...20-25 minute ride each way.

We have been to Mr. Sanchos, Playa Mia Beach Club, Paradise Beach Club and enjoyed them all. I am not saying Nachi was bad...we enjoyed our stay there for the day but I also like to use the water things and Nachi did not have those.

Is there an advantage of using Island Marketing over the Nachi Cocom site?

I did not even know you could book at the Nachi Site....I just was directed to Island Marketing and used them. Do not know if it makes a difference which place you book....but I do know Island Marketing was very easy to work with and promptly got back to me time I emailed a question to them.
