Smoking in CC Cabanas?

I am sincerely NOT trying to start a debate about the pros/cons of smoking. With that disclaimer, does anyone know whether smoking is allowed in the CC cabanas?

Just a guess, unfortunately...but I'd say no smoking INSIDE the cabana...but okay to smoke outside. That would go along with DCL's policies.....and it would just be the right thing to do.
I'm a smoker...so no flames....it's what I would do.

Thank you! Although I'm not a smoker, I was really hoping this thread wouldn't turn into flames being thrown around at anyone! (I was asking about the smoking so that, when our cruise eventually comes around, we would know whether to request a cabana a little further away just in case our neighbor wanted to smoke.) The hard part about that is not knowing if any of your neighbors are going to smoke. I guess the best way to guarantee that would be to either get the very first cabana, or the very last.....
As for me, I will walk as far away from people as I can possibly get before I light up. I never want to bother anyone. I hope that your neighbors would be so thoughtful.
In fact, I wish that ALL smokers would be so thoughtful and maybe then it wouldn't always turn into a huge debate.

This is a great question. I am a cigar smoker and never smoke inside, unless I am at a cigar lounge.

I do enjoy a cigar at Castaway Cay, but it is usually away from the crowds, and at the very end of the family beach, where all the Cabanas are now.

I will be in Cabana #8 on my upcoming cruise, and I will ask my neighbors if the smoke bothers them, I always do when I smoke, just like I do on my verandah.

That's okay. I guess when you think about it, it's no different than any of the other locations onboard or at CC. We're getting used to hiding, aren't we??
But seriously, you really can't tell which way the wind will blow from one minute to the next, and at least this way, no one will be able to nag at you. Or me. Or the rest of us with the nasty habit.
