Palo Question

We will soon be taking our first cruise and we were lucky enough to get a Palo reservation. I know it cost $15/person. How do you pay this? Also if you leave an addtional tip, do you leave cash or can you put it on your onboard account?

We charged it back to our room just like using the KTTW at Disney. Your cruise room key is also your charge card. And yes, we did leave a extra tip for the server...last time we tipped our server a extra $20. She was great.

It will be charged to your KTTW card(room key). The ship and Castaway Cay are cashless systems(I think that is the correct term). This means that everything you do on the ship that cost money will be put on your KTTW card. When you check-in at the port you will either leave a credit card on file or I think you can put down cash too. While on the ship there is no need to carry around extra cash or credit cards because all transactions will be put on the KTTW

If we decided to leave an additional tip(which we have every time we have gone), we pay it in cash. The waiter/waitress has always accepted without hesitation.

I think the cost for dinner is going up to $20/pp, but I'm not sure when that becomes effective.

Tips are the only exception (the only one I know of) to the cashless rule on the ship. You can tip in cash - for example, you'll almost certainly tip room service in cash. You CAN tip anyone else (server, Palo server, room steward, bartenders, children's club staff) in cash, or you can charge them to your KTTW (ship account) which is what most people do.

You are correct! I tend to forget about tipping with cash since we put everything on our KTTW (except room service tips).
