Just beginning investigation on traveling to the Rose Bowl in preparation for my Oregon Ducks to play in the big game...Any Diser out there have some advice on where to stay and how to attend the game? Thanks in advance...

The Duck

I have been looking for a hotel room in Pasadena that time of year and most are sold out. You might need to go a little further out Glendale or surrounding areas. The other option is to wait until it gets closer. A lot of people make reservations with the hope their team will be going. I was looking for Stanford but thanks to the Ducks I think I need to hold off. :sad2:

Hey, the Ducks might be playing in Glendale, Arizona, so make sure you can cancel any reservations you might make. The Rose Bowl is near the intersection of the 134 and 210, so you can look for hotels along that route. Going east towards Arcadia (around the historic Santa Anita race track) might work.

Years ago we lived in that area, always enjoyed the Rose Bowl and seeing the blimps!

Pasadena books up rapidly due to the Rose Parade. Arcadia and even Monrovia are good options, they are right on the 210 and easy to manuever to the Rose Bowl.

When we return to the area we always stay at the Santa Anita Inn on Huntington Drive near the Santa Anita RaceTrack. Its quaint California cozy and Huntington Dr. is a main artery that has lots of food and shopping options in all directions.

Better start booking your hotel now. There aren't a lot in Glendale, but there are surrounding areas, like Scottsdale to get a room in.
