DLR TR for 9/17/10 *First day of Halloween Time*

Hello again! The girlfriend and I visited DLR for the day on Friday, the 17th. It took us about 1.5 hours because of morning traffic, but we made it! It wasn't too crowded and it was the first day of Halloween Time. It was fun to see the characters in costumes. We even got to take some photos with a few of them! We had lunch at the Blue Bayou Restaurant, rode on some rides, circled the park and then stationed ourselves for the 9:05pm showing of Fantasmic! We did some shopping on Main Street after that, then called it a night and headed home.

Now, on to the photos...

Kristine forgot sunscreen, so she had to buy some.

It was almost noon and we had a 1:20pm reservation at the Blue Bayou Restaurant. We were a little hungry so we bought a corndog and shared it.

After we ate, we headed for the Enchanted Tiki Room for the show.

After the show, we made our way through Adventureland and on to New Orleans Square.

We checked in at exactly 1:20pm and went right in to the lobby.

We waited for about ten minutes before our name was called to be seated.

Kristine and I each got a souvenir cup with a light-up Buzz!

We also had salads for appetizers.

Kristine ordered the Buccaneer's Beef Short Ribs.

I ordered the Tesoro Island Chicken.

Stuffed.

For dessert, we shared the Pumpkin Tiramisu in a souvenir mug!

I loved the atmosphere.

We rode POTC after lunch.

After POTC, it was off to the Haunted Mansion!

After Haunted Mansion Holiday, we walked through the shops and Kristine got some cool pins!

We then made our way to Small World.

Then we went on Nemo!

After Nemo, we made our way on to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Kristine's favorite!

I bought some cool things in here.

SUPER excited for Star Tours to open up!

We were still full from lunch, so we went back to Adventureland and shared a corndog and fish n chips for dinner.

After dinner, we walked through New Orleans Square to find a good spot for Fantasmic and the fireworks.

The usual spot where Kristine and her family sit was taken, so we found some open steps that we claimed. I was messing around with my camera while waiting for the show to start.

I shot these photos with a Canon Rebel XTi and the EF-S 10-22mm lens and a Panasonic Lumix FH20.
