I had researched Manta a lot before we went, and I had myself all talked in to it, but when I saw the people in front of us get on, and then be laid down on their stomachs, my nerve went right out the window!

I think I would've hated it too, so I'm glad I chickened out!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had a nice, relaxing day yesterday on my actual birthday! On Saturday Brandon and I went out to dinner and then Sunday night we went up to my friend's place and sat out by their fire, so I had a great birthday weekend!

Thanks! I don't know what I'm going to do with the water bottle, probably use it when I start going for walks after work again, now that the weather is cooling off a little!

Great top 10 moments from last year. All the Christmas talk is really making me want to go one year. I know the only way to do it would be to fly and only have a long weekend to enjoy it all. Maybe one year though, all your pictures look so enticing! Of course, my favorite moment for you was your #1! How exciting and you got to spend your honeymoon there too, so lucky!

On your purchases, I absolutely must have the halloween tote. I had to look it up online, not bad and free shipping til midnight. Cute alice bottle and love the mickey shirt- what a good deal at walmart!

How funny how Brandon is about Le Cellier. I booked Tutto Italia and I am looking forward to it, but I so am wishing we had Le Cellier booked too. I still have LC booked on the day we will be at US, so hard to give it up. If only that was the time you needed, it would make it so much easier! My dh isn't so excited that we won't be eating there though, but when we take our without kids trip we certainly will!

LOL Brandon is obsessed with Le Cellier! I keep checking but there is NOTHING available! It's too bad you have to cancel your ADR there, it's so good! At least I have one ADR there, it will give him something to look forward to if I don't get a second one! And that just means we will definitely have to go back next year!

I didn't research Manta at all! If I knew it did what it does, I would not have gone on it, I knew Sea World had a new roller coaster, but I didn't know it was that scary! Never again!

It's funny, Brandon's first time ever on a roller coaster was at Disney in 08 and now he's even more brave than I am when it comes to trying new roller coasters and I've been going on them since I was a kid! I love them, but I draw the line at laying down!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great weekend!

I usually try to do updates on Saturday, something about my trip, but today I'm just too busy! I want to do another countdown since I'll be going in 9 weeks!!!! But I will probably do it tomorrow instead of trying to do it really fast today, I'm going to a wedding tonight and we have to leave in less than 2 hours and I haven't even started getting ready!

I haven't really been on the disboards much at all this last week, it's been busy. Brandon's grandmother passed away on Thursday so we've just been kind of crazy, trying to get all the plans together and all that. Next week is going to be crazy too, there is going to be a wake in Revere, MA for her, since that is where she lived after she got married, and then a wake and funeral in North Carolina, which is where she was born and grew up, on Friday, so we will be traveling a lot next week.

I'll be back with an update tomorrow, I have a fun countdown planned, just gotta find some pictures to go along with it!

My grandmother who raised me from ages 9-12 passed away last Sept. A week to the day, Ben's uncle passed away. We buried 2 family members in the same week. It was a hell of a week.

Thank you everyone, for your kind words and thoughts! Of course, everyone is sad because of this loss, but at the same time, Brandon is relieved that she's not suffering anymore. She was sick for a while, and she had pretty bad alzheimer's so she didn't really know who anyone was anymore or what was going on. It was very sad, we went to visit her a month or two ago in her nursing home and she knew who Brandon was, but she didn't really know why he was there or what was going on. She asked if he brought a cab for her and her husband, who passed away 3 years ago. I feel bad that will be Brandon's last memory of his grandmother.

I'm glad I have my Disney trip to look forward to. This isn't the first time Disney world has kind of saved us a little and given us something to look forward to in a time where everything else basically sucked. I'm glad I have the disboards to distract me!

Wow I'm so sorry for all of that. I don't know what it was about September last year, but it was the worst month of my life. And now it seems like this September is not much better.

Good morning everyone! I thought it might be time to talk about something fun on this PTR since yesterday was so sad. When bad things happen in people's lives, some people turn to drinking or drugs...I turn to Disney World!

I only have 9 WEEKS til my trip! And as of today, that is officially 2 months! It's getting to the point where I just need this trip to get here so we can go! I don't know if I can wait another 9 weeks!

I decided to borrow an idea from SouthernTinkerBelle for my next countdown, so I hope you don't mind! I remember when you did this on your PTR I thought it was such a cute idea! So for this week, I will be counting down...

TOP 10 CHARACTERS I WANT TO MEET!!! (these will be in no specific order, I would just like to meet any of them while I'm there!)

10.

Belle and the Beast at MVMCP! I tried to meet them last year, but the line was insane!!! And you only have so much time at the party, I had already waited 45 minutes to meet Minnie so I just said forget it! I did take that picture, though, sorry about the random girl in there!

9.

The penguins from Mary Poppins! I think they are so cute and I never see them anywhere! I'm on a mission this year to find them!

8.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! I'm pretty sure they won't be together at MVMCP but I would still like to meet both of them! I was in line to meet Snow White last year at Epcot but I chickened out...I'm so afraid of meeting princesses because I don't know what to say to them! I'm hoping to get over that fear this trip!

Marie, again! I know I met her last year, but she's just so cute, I would love to get another picture with her!

Daisy Duck! I love her, I see her all the time, usually in Epcot, but I never stop to meet her!

The White Rabbit, or any of the Alice characters! There were a lot of them at MVMCP last year, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, but I'm pretty sure they won't be there this year. So I'm hoping I can at least see the White Rabbit!

4.

Meeko! I don't even know if he's out in the parks anymore, but I hope he is! He's so adorable! I'm going to have to do some research to figure out where to find him if he's around!

The Toy Story characters! Now that I've seen the movies, I want to meet them, especially Bullseye!

Tiana and Naveen! I've heard they are a lot of fun to meet and that they will go out of there way to talk to you and have fun with you! I love Tiana, I think she is so beautiful, I love her dress!

1. (This is actually appropriate that she is my #1, I want to meet her more than anyone!)

Minnie Mouse, in her normal Minnie dress! I've met Minnie before, at Chef Mickey's and then at the Christmas party, but she has always been wearing different clothes! At Chef Mickey's she has an apron and the Christmas party, she's wearing a Christmas dress, which is beautiful, but I want to just meet classic Minnie! I try all the time, but the line for her is always so long! I think my best strategy for her will be to go to Epcot early one morning and get in line at the character spot.

Those are my top 10 characters that I'd like to meet this year! Of course I want to meet some of my favorites like the Pooh characters, Mickey Mouse, Pluto...but they kind of go without saying, I'm focusing more on the random characters or the characters I'm afraid of meeting, like princesses! We will see what happens this year!

yay that's a good list of characters!!!! Your best for finding Meeko might be AK. I know they used to have him out and about but for the life of me, I can't remember where!! Pretty bad since I worked there for like 8 months right? haha. I think the penguins come out at DHS from time to time. If you go up to any CM they can call a special # and give you a time and place of a certain character. They also keep with them a folded up "guide" of sorts that will have some character info/times on it too that they can tell you as well but the phone number that they call is super specific and will get you the time/place of any character!!
