I am checking into Animal Kingdom Lodge CL at 9:00am today. I used IPO for all of my dining reservations. We I recieved my confirmation email with my dining on it, everything was correct. Just a second ago, I went into the online reservation to cancel a reservation. (FYI - California Grill 745pm for 5 on 9/9 is open) I saw that I had 1900 PF for Monday night. I didn't schedule it for Monday, I scheduled it for Wed. We already had Ohana's on Mon. On Wed we had no dinner scheduled.

So the IPO made a reservation for the wrong day!:scared1: I went to see if 1900 was open for Wed (the correct day) and of course, it was not. I can't call anyone, it is one in the morning. So I will have to worry about it night. This is a major deal for me. I handmade two stepsister outfits, embroidered a shirt for my son to wear and my and my husband have coordinating shirts as well.

Sorry, I am just freaking out a little. :confused3

To make matters worse, we are staying in Ocala for the night and out hotel room bathroom is on the verge of being flooded. No functioning toliet and my kids are all asleep (including a 18 mo old who is hard to get to sleep) so we can't just change rooms. :confused3. The adventures have begun. Hopefully, it will just get better from here!

DEEP BREATH!

OK... I don't know what IPO is or how it works, so probably cannot help you, but I hate thinking of you sitting out there alone, with the kids asleep and the bathroom malfunctioning, worrying about your vacation that you've waited for and planned for so long! Given the level of your accommodations (AKL-CL; how lovely!), I am guessing that concierge can find space for you at 1900PF. If not, there's always walk-up availability. It DOES happen, even during free dining! Go online and see if there's ANY availability at 1900 while you are there. Is there anything you would be willing to change, swap, or give up to get a seating at 1900?

Don't let this start deter you from a wonderful vacation! We went to Disney in August, leaving at 6am on Tuesday from Bangor. Delta called at 10:45 on Monday night to say our flight out of BGR was cancelled, but they could book us on Wednesday afternoon with an overnight in Atlanta and arrival on Thursday afternoon. Ummmm, NO!! Took three calls but I finally found an agent who could get us to WDW on Tuesday as planned. Too late for our ADR at Sanaa, but at least we were there! Checking into POP, went all the way to the far end of building 2 to discover that our keys didn't work. Dragged back to registration and got the keys to the RIGHT room. Arrived in room to discover NO medical (or any other) fridge and that the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. I was just dreading the whole stay, thinking that these were ominous beginnings and wondering what was going to happen next. NOT TO WORRY!! These were fixed before we returned from Fantasmic that night, and guess what? We had the most amazing vacation ever... and we've been to WDW more than 20 times!!

SO... deep breath, get creative, and get planning. YOu aren't at Disney yet, and planning is half the fun!! I am sure something will work out for you! Good luck!!

I would not worry about the ressie too much since you are staying AKL CL you will be personally checked in this morning when you arrrive and can let the IPO know about the error, I have read here on the DIS that the IPO at the resorts have some type of by pass code or something where they can get a ressie when there is none available thru online or CRO. Now I do hope your plumbing problems do not escalate We once stayed in a motel in Canada middle of the night the toliet decided to overflow :scared1: that was a nightmare which ended up with the entire family ending up sleepless for the night

Good luck and have a fabulous vacation

I know it's the least of your worries right now, but what is IPO?

I know your vaca will turn around! Good luck!

Itinerary Planning Office. OP is staying Club Level and IPO is the service that makes ADRs, books tours, etch for Club Level guests.

IPO does not have a "pass code" to get reservations. Not sure where you read that, sjs314. :confused3 They have a slight advantage at the 180-day mark and they also have the ability to keep checking for cancellations.

princesskayla will be dealing with the lounge CMs now (not IPO at this point) and hopefully they can make everything right. pixiedust:pixiedust:

I know your trip got off to a rocky start, princesskayla, but stay calm and keep a positive attitude. It WILL be an awesome trip! I hope you'll report back and let us know that the ADR situation gets resolved.

I stayed CL at Poly in Feb, and we're going back again this Feb. Last year I had alot of ADR's and tours planned(aqua seas, segway, spa, luau, california grill for wishes, yachtsman and then a ride in BreathlessII for illuminations, etc.). Of course there were some problems, but the CMs in the Hawaii bldg. were excellent. Everything was fixed immediately. They may not have a 'by-pass code', but they had no problem making changes and getting me what I wanted when I wanted it. I am not planning as much this time. I only booked 3 dinners. We are going to wing it with the belief that since it is going to be February and not so crowded that the concierge in Hawaii would be able to get us taken care of.

The IPO at the GF also made reservations for me for July. I found out that ALL my reservations were double booked by the IPO and some of those reservatations needed my CC. An alert person at the Cali Grill called my home phone and asked me why I had two reservations for the exact same time, exact same night, exact name and number of people. I told her that the IPO made my reservations. Good thing she noticed or my CC would have been charged for not showing up for one reservation along with the Spirit of Aloha.

Next time I will make my own reservations. At least I know that it will be done right.

Nonetheless, I hope everything works out.

Do you have a copy of the email IPO sent you with your itinerary? There should be confirmation #s next to all your ADRs. If the emailed itinerary is the correct one there really shouldn't be a problem when you get to the restaurant podium to check in.
When you check in at the GF you will also be given a packet, which will include a copy of your itinerary. You can go over everything with the CM, and if there are any discrepancies they should be able to fix them.

Enjoy your vacation :)

I wish I knew what thread I had read this on , not trying to mislead anyone with bad info, but I do recall it was from one of the more reliable posters on the DIS and it may not have been the IPO with the ability but I do recall them saying that only 2 persons at each resort had the ability to make a reservation for a sold out restaurant

Sorry for any confussion, if I find the post will make a reference to it here

This is only our 2nd cl stay but we have had no problems with them getting what we wanted (even calling us when our 1st choice wasn;t available for a tour to see what they could do to find an alternative for us). We did try to change a time on an adr we had when we were there and they were not able to do so I don't think they have a magic code. It just may be easier for them to look at availabilities than if you did it yourself through the dsiney site. Good luck. hope your trip turns out magical. Don;t let an adr ruin your trip.

The bolded text is also the information I have. But, I'll be surprised if IPO can't resolve the conflict. It's amazing how CM's can find a little pixiedust:

The only time I use them to make ressies in for that day if I don't have one and decide I want a TS. They will check to see what available and what times, If I not happy with the choices I don't have to take them.

I like to be in control of my times. So I make my own. I did most of mine on line this year and it was so easy.
