great stay @ CBR

I just got back on Thursday night from 9 nights @ CBR and 2 nights @ HRH. I had a preferred room in Martinque. I requested bldg. 26 which I learned from Dis. Great advice, it was a GREAT location and I was upgraded to water view. I thought the food court was very good and had a good selection. We did not eat @ Shutters. Bus service was very good!!! Only once @ DD did we wait 15-20 minutes. Most of the time 5 minutes or less. The only problem with the bus , and I think this is not only @ CBR is that at busy times like @ park closing alot of people were standing on the bus. There were soooo many people standing it didn't seem same at times. We didn't want to stand so we waited for the next bus and it came within 2 or 3 minutes. I found the resort to be peaceful and quiet. Housekeeping was pretty good but no towel animals. Going to each island for bus pick up before you actually start your ride to the park started to get old but not really too big a deal. I was nervous because I had stayed @ the Poly 2 times before this but couldn't afford it this year. This was a very good substitute, but I did miss being on the monorail and watching Wishes from the Poly beach alittle. I thought the electrical parade was just okay and I was very dissappointed not to see Spectromagic which is my favorite. If I could not afford a deluxe I would stay here again. I liked it alot.

Thanks for the report, we arrive at CBR in one week for the first time, we downgraded from WL which we love to save some money. Glad you had a good trip, the kids will be disappointed if NO towel animals, we had them everyday at WL last year.

My family and I have never stayed at another resort other than CBR since we've been to WDW [9 times total]. We just love it!!! The towel animals stopped a few years ago. We used to get them all of the time but not in the past few years .

My wife is fussing that she'd like to stay or try another resort. I think that next year, we'll do a split stay. I am thinking either AKL, Poly, or Coronado Springs and then of course, CBR. I just love everything about CBR. The grounds are so lush, the bus service is good, and the food court and Pirate themed pool are both very nice. I find the most peaceful thing on Earth is taking a stroll along the walkway at sunset. I think that it can be medicinal!
